Yikes. If it's under new management, they don't seem to have any better standards than the previous management, based on old reviews. The space is about the size of a corner bodega, so pretty small. Yet half the shelves are empty. I came in looking for tomato pickle and noticed that many of the jars were past expiration. I let the person at the front desk know, he seemed unconcerned. I grabbed a jar that didn't expire until later this year, but when I got home and opened it, it was not in good shape. The top was on loosely, the seal was not broken but pulled inwards, and the top part of the paste was light brown (instead of red) and smelled very stale. I tossed it. The place seems to be somewhat haphazardly operated with prices which appear to be set randomly. I wish that it were a better run business given their are not many Indian and Pakistani groceries in the vicinity.
If you have an option, do your Indian grocery shopping on the Eastside e.g. Apna Bazaar or...
