Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights while we were in town for a concert, hoping to have an affordable place to sleep in between our busy days that we had planned. We were not hoping for much and were still extremely disappointed and felt that we should leave this review as a warning for others. To start things off our room was infested with ants, immediately after entering our room we could see them crawling all over our sink and bathroom. (Videos below) After further investigation we discovered a window was left open in our room and they seemed to be coming from there so we closed the window and hoped they wouldn't come in anymore. After the ant problem continued we later asked to be switched to a different room as we felt disgusting being in that room any longer. Unfortunately we experienced some of the worst customer service of our lives and was told by Dorothy, the hotel manager that "ants are a huge problem here in seattle" and they couldn't switch us rooms because the hotel was fully booked. She then suggested I go find the housekeeper MYSELF somewhere and ask her to clean our room. Dorothy wasn't even willing to go and get the housekeeper for us to even attempt to fix the problem. Upon talking to other guests on checkout we discovered 2 or 3 other rooms had ant problems as well. So it's likely the whole hotel has an ant infestation. Even though "ants are a huge problem in seattle" I highly doubt there are many hotels that would have ants crawling everywhere like this, paired with a hotel Manger that is completely careless about it. The following night we were going out to get some fresh air away from our ant infested room, and accidently forgot our room key in our room, a very common hotel occurrence. Initially, having stayed at other travelodges before that have had competent hotel managers, I wasn't worried and knew there would be someone on property to help us out. Unfortunately the person that was working and supposed to be on site to deal with any issues that may arise overnight at the hotel was no where to be found. We waited outside and knocked on the lobby door and rang and rang the phone with absolutely no help or sign of life from any staff. Stranded, we called the travelodge in downtown Seattle, wondering if they had the contact of who the night Manger should of been or someone that could help. Thankfully the manager at the other travelodge was extremely empathetic and accommodating, even to a customer that wasn't his own, and helped us by giving us advice and reassuring us he would help. If it wasn't for an actual competent employee at the other travel lodge location we would have just been stranded in the middle of the night for hours, in not the safest of locations, at a hotel we rightfully paid for. We were extremely dissatisfied with our stay which is disappointing because we have stayed at many other travelodges and they usually are great experiences. Usually they have clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. This is a great example at how a careless and passion-less manager can drive a place downhill. This hotel isn't even in a bad location, it's right next to rapid transit, fast food and a Starbucks. It's really a shame. Definitely spend your money ANYWHERE ELSE.

Okay so I have only been in the room for roughly an hour and a half and there’s a lot to discuss about it. I chose this location due to affordability and proximity to the Woodland Park Zoo, where I am attending a Zoo Tunes concert tomorrow, 8/12. I drove 9 hours from Southern Oregon to come to this show and see my friends. When I initially booked it, the reviews weren’t terrible (this was months ago) so I went with it and only saw the more recent reviews when I checked in. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Dorothea, the manager, who is elderly and quite rude to guests. She wasn’t horrible at first but a later event happened that changed my tune. The area isn’t the nicest so I’m worried about having my rental car parked outside, but I have it right outside my room so I can keep an eye on it. The area has a lot of unhoused individuals (as Seattle does) but overall it’s not terrible, just very noisy and rougher. Once I got into my room, I was instantly hit with the smell of cigarette smoke, despite my room being a non-smoking room. I ended up using quite a bit of my personal perfume to help cover up the smell, but after leaving to get dinner and coming back, it still reeked of cigarettes. The bathroom was much cleaner than I expected, which I was surprised by, but the sink has a strange blood-like stain on the front that kind of scares me - and the sink itself doesn’t drain very well. The carpet is nasty and is in dire need of replacement. The sheets and duvet are clean but definitely stained. The windowsill is filthy and caked in something that I can’t identify. There was also a bug flying in my room that I managed to kill but now being in the room makes my skin crawl so I’m not exactly comfortable. Within an hour of being in the room, the power for the entire place went out. At the time I’m writing this, the power had been out for over an hour and it’s finally been turned back on. I went to notify Dorothea about it - not knowing if it was just my room- and she was rude about it (but I get it, it’s stressful). To be completely honest, I would never stay here again unless I was VERY desperate. It’s not worth the $300 I’m spending to be here for two night and as a solo female traveler, I also don’t feel very safe being here alone. If you want better recommendations for places to stay - the Belltown Inn in downtown above Pike Place is phenomenal with amazing staff and great rates, or if you need a more affordable place, the American Hostel in the International District was $60 a night after taxes and it’s super close to the light rail and lumen field.

The Travelodge Hotel in Seattle offers convenient access to downtown, just a short 30-minute bus ride away. Situated right by the bus stop, it couldn't be easier to explore the city. Although breakfast isn't provided, complimentary coffee and tea are available anytime, ensuring a quick caffeine fix. The hotel also offers parking facilities, a plus for those traveling by car. During my three-day stay, however, I encountered a few drawbacks. Firstly, my room wasn't cleaned at all, which was disappointing. Secondly, the double bed was suitable for two adults and two children, making it ideal for families. Nonetheless, the bathroom was in need of an upgrade, particularly the worn-out bathtub, which was in poor condition. Despite these shortcomings, the hotel's cleanliness overall was commendable. With a rating of 4 out of 5, the Travelodge Hotel is a decent option for budget-conscious travelers seeking a convenient location near public transportation and basic amenities.

Giving this place one star feels like too much. This was officially the worst experience with a hotel that I have experienced in my life. When I booked this hotel, I was going to Seattle for the weekend with my husband and his family. On the way there, we booked two rooms, which was $416.52, for June 14-15, literally one night. While we were traveling to Seattle, roughly two hours away, my husband decided to call to make sure that someone would be there to let us into our rooms. It was around 11 pm. I checked every place I could online to see if the office would close after a certain time. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT IT WOULD BE CLOSED. However, my husband is a thorough man. He called and asked politely if anyone would be there.

A woman answered and not only was she incredibly rude toward him, speaking to him as if he was an inconvenience, she told us that after midnight, no one would be in the office to let us into our rooms. Then, she began to rant to him that she “was the only one who worked in the hotel, worked from 6 am to midnight, had 18-hour long shifts alone,” and reiterated to him AGAIN THAT NO ONE WOULD BE THERE TO LET US INTO OUR ROOM AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Since I booked the rooms after 6 pm, the refund policy didn’t apply to us since it was “after 6 pm on the day of the reservation.” We decided to go to the hotel in Seattle anyway because we hoped that someone would be there. We arrived around 2 am and true to her words, the office was closed and not a single person was there. We ended up going to another hotel and paying roughly the same amount for another two rooms. Safe to say, this ruined our trip and ended up being the reason we had to leave a day early since most of our money was taken from this stupid situation.

A few days later on the eighteenth (the day I’m writing this review), my husband decides to try and get in contact with someone higher up to try and get a refund. After having to explain the situation roughly three times to two separate people, he was told that the only person who could issue the refund was the hotel we were going to stay at. This one lady (who was very nice) informed my husband that the manager was currently on the phone and we had to call back later. Once we did, guess who happens to be the manager of the hotel? The same damn woman we talked to.

However, this time she wasn’t just rude. She was a jerk. She told my husband that there was a sign that we could have called to let someone let us into the building to check in and get into our rooms. We didn’t see a sign, but let's assume that there is one there and we didn’t see it. SHE DID NOT TELL US IN THE PHONE CALL THAT WE COULD HAVE CHECKED IN AFTER MIDNIGHT. She explicitly told us that “no one would be here after midnight to let you in.” She actively discouraged us from even showing up in my opinion. Then, she tried pulling the whole “oh, I’m the only one who works here, I work really long shifts” garbage on my husband, to which he told her that he wasn’t asking how long she worked there, we were asking NICELY to please give us a refund for the rooms since she failed to tell us we could have checked in after hours.

She said that there was nothing she could do for us and hung up on my husband. To whoever runs this business, whoever reads this review, and whoever wants to have a fun weekend in Seattle with your family, avoid this damn hotel altogether because our experience was miserable. We feel wronged and...
