TL;DR House Wight is an excellent, light and airy studio perfect for Seattle's creative people. You should absolutely rent this studio!!!! Just be sure to be in tune with your project & goals so that the space can also work for you ♥️
My Review: House Wight is such a wonderful space to rent out on the go or as a member. Michelle offers different options perfectly priced for any phase you and your business may find yourselves in. There are various seating options, stations to do your makeup and get ready, and also tons of natural light even when overcast.
Once you're a member and on the shared calendar, you need to book with a 3-day advanced notice, otherwise the studio cannot guarantee the condition or availability for your booking.
I rented the studio for 3 months and used the 10hr/ month membership.
To be honest, that was too many hours for me. Toward the end of my membership I had trouble finding times that worked for me, I tried to be proactive and book way in advanced but then life and the unpredictable would happen and cause me to have to request a change in my booking, which was not ideal.
Here's my pros + cons:
Pros: Convenient parking cafe adjacent just the right size studio many seating options natural light affordable full body mirrors movable furniture acoustics for sound (music, speaking events)
Cons: the large windows has a curtain whose rod tends to fall very easily curtains in studio do not offer privacy to the street, creating self-consious moments only a 2hr parking limit. Not ideal for longer shoots sharing bathrooms with the cafe that smell dreadfully putrid with flies whenever I've been there (House Wight shares these bathrooms with the next door cafe and therefore isn't at fault for this, I must clarify) if you dont book well in advanced you may miss out on preferred/ popular booking times from 11- 3pm if you DO book in advanced but then life happens, you need a 3Day buffer to make changes to your bookings (blessed Michelle offered me understanding and flexibility on this a time or two)
I would absolutely rent from here again, but on an hourly basis vs as a member. I dont think that I got my full value from my membership here, and I think it's in part my personal schedule not lining up with the studio schedule and also a missing component of not quite feeling like im a part of a community of creatives and artists.
The only thing I'd say that I wish were different about my membership would be that I wish members were invited/ notified about the night markets and invited to participate or pop up, or for there to be activities or events hosted for members in particular for us to get to know each other and collaborate/...

The fridge was stocked with beverages which was so thoughtful. The studio was easy to locate and there was plenty of street parking close by. Michelle was so sweet and great to work with. I'll definitely...

The restaurant is a fun hang out theme, with surfboard tables and van seating! What's not to love? Vegetarian options are plentiful and labeled. Street parking is paid and limited. The place is not great for wheelchairs, walkers, or folks with...
