This was my first time in this shop. My usual shop is closed today and i dont have many opportunities to go in because i have two kids, 3 jobs, a fiance that's always working, and I'm the primary caretaker. I called and asked if they do hard gel/builder gel and they said yes. I don't like dip or acrylic because it's uncomfortable, too hard on my nails and it doesn't look good after 2 weeks. When I got there, they filed my nails way short on one hand without asking, and tried to tell me I had acrylic on with gel on top. Idk how they came to that conclusion because my hard gel mani was soft and bendy but still really hard and thin at the same time. I told them I don't do acrylic and they assured me that they'll do hard gel. So they filed it down some and they started building on top of my last manicure (which would've been fine if they had given me the hard gel fill i had asked for, but...) The process looks similar to acrylic, so for a second I thought it was hard gel, but the moment I wasn't curing under a UV light and they had me air drying, I knew immediately they put acrylic on me. Beyond that, on the hand they filed too short, they extended my nails back to a long tip by building it out with the acrylic instead of just putting on a new tip. So come time, they had to do A LOT of drilling on the underside of my nail. Even after all that drilling, I can't even see my natural nail. I'm so mad about this because I'm trying to grow out my natural nails and now its been covered in acrylic and heavily drilled on so now I don't know if they drilled away my natural nail or if it's just that covered in acrylic. Before they even painted, I clarified that this is acrylic, not hard gel, and this is not what I asked for. And she said they can't do what i asked with gel but next time they will soak it off and we can do hard gel. At this point, I'm just confused. Do you have hard gel or not? Do you just not know what it is and think im talking about soft gel? Or did you put acrylic on me when you have hard gel and dont want to fix your mistake? I don't know. At this point, I let them finish just hoping for the best. I spoke up so many times about how I don't do acrylic. I don't know what else to do at this point. When they were done, there was polish on the underside of my nails, the design had streak marks, there was acrylic leftover digging into my cuticle bed, gel polish was flaking off my skin around my nails, from a side angle they are slanted upwards because of how much they built out with the acrylic, my thumbs are shorter than the rest, most of my nails are so tapered in that it hurts because they filed into my nail bed, and they are very chunky and uncomfortable which is why I don't do acrylic. As if this wasn't bad enough, they charged me for a full set. If they were convinced I had acrylic on, why wasn't I charged for a fill? So now I have builder gel under the acrylic because they didnt take it off first, which should've been done if they were charging me for more than a fill, and now I have to pay to get this taken off, i have to pay for tips since they sabotaged my natural nail, AND I'm going to have to buy a brand new full set which I wasn't expecting to do for another 3 manicures. All that said, if I did acrylic manicures, they did a better job shaping than most average nail salons. Its only when you really take a look that you notice how chunky and upwards turning the tips are. Its smooth on the top and doesnt have wavy ridges from the side view, but all the corners they cut really took a lot away from what they did good. Wearing them is different than looking at them, and watching the process can either leave you in awe or completely distraught. I've been getting my nails done for 10yrs now and places like these are why I have trust issues.

I went to get my manicure and pedicure as usual and I got two infected nails on each of my big toes. After the pedicure, I started feeling pain in my toe, the next day it was swollen, red and had pus. I went in again and the owner was nice. She tried to get out an ingrown nail and fix the redness. I realized that they don’t perform sterilization of their equipment. This was a big no no no. I will definitely not got back again. It costed me 98 dollar of the pedicure and manicure plus the consult with my primary care provider and the referral to the podiatrist. The podiatrist had to permanently remove hand of each nail of my big toe. So everything was a mess. They were nice and treated me really well every time I went there for services but they don’t clean their equipment and that’s pretty nasty.

My Dip manicure didn’t even last one day…. Not okay. At all. A complete waste of money. This should last at LEAST three weeks… they are cracking and breaking my real nail underneath. Also, I was there for over TWO hours!! Also not ok. I sat in the pedicure chair for 40 mins with my nails soaking in acetone… for way too long. When they finally took it off, all my skin was so dry and raw. Then I got a manicure and my skin cracked and bled. And it was very painful. They were trying to blame it on me.. but nope. That’s never ever happened to me before. If my experience wasn’t so bad, I would go back and demand that they fix them. But it’s honestly not worth it.

I called ahead to see if they can do a full set and a pedicure. I also asked for the the price. The lady on the phone told me $35 for a pedicure and $45 for a full set. When I sat down the water was steaming hot. I asked to cook it down. The lady doing my pedicure was doing a great job, but the lady doing my manicure was just uninterested. I tried to ask her what color would look nice on my skin tone but she brushed me off and said choose color later. She cut the nails too short and when I tried to tell her this is shorter than I asked she told me she’ll fix it once the adds the next coat on top. I patiently waited. Another person came and the left me to attend to her. The lady doing my pedicure did great. This was the one doing my nails. After my feet was done I sat at the other station to finish my nails. I sat there waiting wile they attended to the lady that last came. I was starting to get a little inpatient. They finally got to me. I tried to explain to her the other lady cut them too short. I can tell she got irritating. And told me I should of said something before and I told her I did but the lady told me they will fix it. She tried to fix it but still it wasn’t looking good. At this point it was too late so I went with it. When it was time to pay she told me $110. I told her that’s not what they said over the phone. I paid and got out of there because at this point I was over it. I’m never going back there again....

(BURNED AND SCABBING EYEBROWS) I will not be going back to this place. I went there because it was closer than the place i usually go. At worst i thought if they are bad the worst i could expect would be that the shape would be too thin or not lined properly. They have now given me a new fear when trusting new people to do my eyebrows. After the wax I thought oh they didnt do too bad but i felt a stinging on my face that i never felt before when getting my eyebrows waxed. I thought oh maybe its nothing and itll probably just go away over time. It was raw and burning the whole day and to the next. It was hard to even wash my face because it was just so raw that i could tell it was pretty much an open wound. By the next day i now have dark scabs around the iner parts of my eyebrows. And it still feels irritated when i touch them. One side seems like it may heal without much scaring but the other i know for sure will leave me with a visible scar. It looks like i got carpet...
