Winter - February, 2025: OK folks. Here's the latest update; Joseph was just here today to do our annual PM. He apologized for arriving 20 minutes late, but it was because of a traffic delay on the Deception Pass Bridge this morning... No biggie. Joseph dove right in. He was all over the house - from bottom to top - inside and outside. But we could barely tell he was there. He checked both systems, looked for error codes, measured the temperature at the vents, cleaned a few things, inspected the copper coils and the cooling fins, and so forth. He replaced the big air filter in the living room ceiling return vent. And he even took the old dirty filter with him, so we didn't have to bother throwing it away in our trash can. While he was up in the attic, he even took a minute to look for signs of any leaks in the roof because every time it rains, we hear this strange drip.. drip... somewhere in the attic - from the living room. NOT an HVAC issue, but Joseph offered to check it out anyway. There was NO sign of any leaking, and Joseph figured out that when rain would enter the pvc plumbing vent when it was raining, it would drop down about 4-5 feet (a straight drop from the roof to the first bend in the pvc) where it would make the drip... drip.. sound we were hearing up there. Mystery solved. Big relief! Both systems are working well, so no worries for the rest of the winter and into next summer (whenever that happens). It's great to know it's all working well. And it's really great to see how much Joseph loves to do this work. And how much he knows about these advanced systems. Thanks Joseph! And thanks to Brian Ronk and Sarah McCown too. We would be out in the cold without you! M and T Klein
Spring, 2024: Three years later, and Ronk Brothers is even better than before! Long story short: the old heating system that was in our lower level broke this winter, and we decided not to fix it. Instead, we had Ronk Brothers install a new system to heat and cool our lower level last week. We also had Ronk Brothers replace our old hot water heater this spring. My wife and I want to thank these Ronk employees for the great work they all did to make these improvements as easy and painless for us as they did: Sarah M., John P., Jacob F., Zach C-T., Greg K., Melanie B., and Brian R. Brian and Greg even made sure the old system was properly and safely de-commissioned, and they even removed the old system modules from our mechanical room and from the outside of the house and hauled them away! We thank you all VERY much. M and T Klein
Spring, 2021: When we needed a new heating and cooling system for the upper level of our home, we were fortunate to find Ronk Brothers. Without exception, every Ronk Brothers employee is honest, straightforward, personable, and professional. They recommended the right system for our needs, delivered everything they promised, always met their deadlines, consistently kept us informed with their progress and any issues that arose, and the price and end date they first gave us never changed. There were no surprises - except that the system they installed in our home was so quiet and comfortable. Ronk Brothers provides our system's annual preventive maintenance too. We trust them completely....
Read moreMy wife and I are a retired couple and have just moved into the area of Blaine (Birch Bay). We needed some Electrical work done for a new shed and greenhouse we had put in. We were referred to the Ronk Brothers, for the first time from a very reliable source. So I called the Ronk Brother's and spoke to Brian Ronk. After explaining my needs he said he would like to have his electrician-John come out and check out what I needed and sent me over to Brittney to schedule an appointment. She was very sweet, helpful, and was able to get their electrician-John out within a couple of days of my call. John Phelps came out and checked everything out. My wife and I could tell right away that we liked this guy and he would be a good fit for our project. John is knowledgeable, helpful, trustworthy, and has a wonderful sense of humor. John gave us a fair quote, said it would be an all day job,and explained everything to us. Then he called the office and set up an appointment with Melaine, to come do the work. The appointment was quick, only about a half a week out. John said he would be out at 8:00am. I got a call the day before my appointment from Melanie reminding me that John would be there the next morning at 8:00am. John was in our driveway at 8:00am sharp and ready to go. It was raining that morning. John had to go under our Manufacturered Home to do, a good portion of the work. Unfortunately for John it was wet due to all the rain lately, so his coveralls were soaked by the end of being down there working. As some jobs go, it wasn't going quite as well as planned. And John really could have used some help with part of the project. But he didn't let all that deter him, he kept at it, worked long, hard, through his lunchbreak to get the job done. John worked and laughed through the kinks and completed the job just before sunset. John's work was excellent and his attitude amazing. He did a great job for us and had us make sure everything was the way we wanted it. And it was. We are so glad that we called the Ronk Brothers. They were all professionals, easy to work with, fair with the price, prompt, and did excellent work. A company like the Ronk Brothers is rare to find these days. I really couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks, Brian, John, Brittany, and Melanie for the great service. We appreciate it so much. Sincerely Chris and...
Read morewhen our furnace went out i called ronk bros. and Levi immediately answered. i explained our service need and he was at our home within the hour. as he went through the steps for determining the problem, he was kind enough to explain what he was doing in terms that i could understand. very professional, very courteous. when it was determined that an immediate repair was not possible, Levi explained what our options were in a consise, clear manner. as our furnace is about 25 years old, we decided to ask Levi about replacing the furnace instead of throwing good money at what could very well be a short term fix in replacing individual parts as they slowly failed. Levi said that he would have a ronk bros. representative contact us for a free estimate to replace our furnace. considering the advanced age of our failed furnace, we believe that replacement is the wisest option, at this time. We have done business with ronk bros. in the past and that is why we called them when our furnace failed. Levi represented them in a knowledgeable, courteous, informative way. We look forward to getting a new furnace and having ronk bros. installing it leaves us with a very comfortable feeling. We trust their knowledge, and service. Levi has definitely reinforced our belief that ronk bros. is a very dependable company. Thank You, Levi. Ronk Brothers is quite fortunate to have you representing them, as are we. Doug and Marla F
Today, Logan and Bryan came out and installed our new furnace. I was amazed at how quickly they assessed the situation and did the installation in what I considered to be record time. After installing the unit they did extensive testing of the new system and answered all of my questions. Excellent, professional, friendly service. I feel somewhat like a broken record because of how much I have stated that Ronk Brothers employees are at the top of their game, providing exceptional service at all levels. I would not consider any other company for my heating needs, based on the friendliness, professionalism, and knowledge displayed by all employees that I have dealt with. I apologize for not mentioning the help that I received from the office staff, who were also of extreme help to me, every step of the way in this process. Thank You all for providing us with much comfort.Doug...
