This is probably the biggest warning that I will give to people who reviews before using a company. Do not by any means take your pets here. I can't even begin to comprehend how horrible not one but multiple experiences I have had with this vet, specifically Dr Campbell. I brought multiple cats to him and all of them are dead. I brought in two male kittens who had seemingly basic colds to get examined and treatment, I was in the exam room for less than 5 minutes and all he did was weigh them. I was told to bring in stool samples and I did that and he did not test them he just threw them away he didn't even touch them other than to take them out of their carrier and put them on the scale and put them back in the carrier. Couldn't even remember their names when speaking about them even though he didn't even really say much he prescribed some antibiotics and they did not work so I called them again and told them that I needed another exam because the medicine didn't work and that I was going to also schedule their neuters and I was told that they would do their exams before the neuter because they were sick and wanted to make sure that they were healthy come to find out that they did not do the exam and went ahead and neutered them anyway and at this point they are both still sick and when I called to see if I could get an update because it was an hour over the time that they said they would call me when they got out of surgery and I waited on the phone for almost 10 minutes for Dr Campbell to come to the phone to tell me that one of them had convulsed and died after surgery and when I went to pick up my one remaining cat he showed no sympathy and no sorrow and shrugged his shoulders and said he wouldn't have survived outside anyways so it was probably for the best even though they were both indoor cats he acted like they were strays that I was going to release which shows how much he pays attention when customers are speaking about their pets and on top of that he did not examine the other sick cat and didn't prescribe him any other medication and talked to me about nothing regarding what we had originally gone in there for. I also had an emergency appointment for a cat that was unresponsive and he took him back into the back room and told me to come back later and that he would call me with updates I received no calls until the next morning when I had to again call because he would not call me only for him to tell me that another one of my cats had died, he would not allow me to see him while he was in the back room and again showed no sympathy and no sorrow he gave no comfort. My mother-in-law just recently took her cat there to get a basic teeth cleaning because they were having a "deal" only for them to pull out multiple teeth and send him home and her cat would not stop drooling and wouldn't eat and was in obvious pain so she took him back to get examined again only to be told that they had broken his jaw and missed that he had cancer in his jaw and they missed it because they did not run x-rays before doing the dental work which I don't know if anyone else has ever been to a dentist but x-rays are the first thing that dentists do before anything else and they just simply did not do it. And she had no choice but to put her cat down. I can't fathom the heartbreak and heartache that my family has been caused because of this vet clinic, it's really unbelievable. Please if you love your pets do not by any means take them to this clinic I don't believe that their deals and discounts...
Read moreWe brought our dog here several times to get treatment for some type skin condition. At every appointment they ran zero tests and kept prescribing her antibiotics, prednisone, and flea medication which did nothing at all. 6+ months of her being absolutely miserable. We scheduled yet another appointment to hopefully figure out what’s going on and to get a nail trim. Finally after numerous appointments and $700.00+ dollars down the drain they finally decided to do a skin scraping to test for parasites to which we were never notified of the results, and the doctor stated she needed to do some research and also never received a update.
During that same appointment we requested to have nail trim done. Our dog needed to be sedated completely understandable and we preferred it that way. My spouse was told to walk her around until it kicked in. Once he brought her back they had already filled our exam room. Instead of preforming her nail trim in the back with professionals they preformed her nail trim in the parking lot with my spouse holding her, a dog that has extreme anxiety during nail trims, and doesn’t like cats. When she got home you could see where they had cut her quick on one nail and the rest of her nails didn’t look like they had trimmed at all add to it she has white nails that you can easily see where the quick ends, that nail trim costed $80.00. I used to work in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant for over 10 years and I have never seen this ever!
Two months later we made an appointment at Sterling Veterinary Clinic and after 1 appointment ONE! We found out she had a bad bacterial skin infection that is resistant to a wide variety of antibiotics including all the antibiotics this vet was prescribing her for months. She shouldn’t have been prescribed prednisone especially for as long as this vet was prescribing it to her. This medication did nothing but cause her harm as indicated by her results of her bloodwork that she inhibited all the negative side effects of being prescribed prednisone long term. Now we have to slowly taper her off the prednisone before we can start giving her the skin allergy medication she should be on.
I have never heard of, visited, or worked for a veterinary clinic like this. If you are going through anything like this I urge you to...
Read moreUnfortunately I had my own bad experience with my sweet fur baby. I took her in for fleas and I knew from previous vets that I had seen told me she’s allergic to flea bites and they would give her a pill for anti-itch med. but he gave her a shot in the back of her neck instead of the pill form and on top of that told me that she needed a rabies shot as well and I wasn’t sure that she needed one because I was pretty sure she had hers already but they told me that they have to have them every three years or so and it had been 3 years I suppose. They were very pushy on Giving her the rabies shot. They ending up giving it to her they gave her a rabies shot and the anti-itch med shot which I don’t know exactly what kind of shot it ( the itch shot ) was because nobody told me what it was the same spot behind her head on her neck a week later she develops a huge bump on the back of her neck ( where the shots were taken ) that we have to take her to another vet to have looked at and they had to do surgery and remove this hard piece of whatever it was in the back of her neck which was most likely caused from the rabies shot because rabies shots typically are done near the behind. Or they said it could’ve been whatever he gave her for the anti-itch shot. When he has seen my animals he goes in there so fast he doesn’t talk to me or wanna look at me hardly he only wants to talk to my boyfriend he doesn’t wanna answer my questions he looks annoyed if I ask him too many questions he’s in and out he doesn’t explain nothing he doesn’t make my animals comfortable he doesn’t Seem to care other than to get in there quickly to give her a shot fast then leave. So I don’t recommend going there I don’t think they’re going to give you the best care I think it’s scary to chance it and have your pet get hurt even worse because they don’t care or they do things too fast or they overlook things would really suck if you went in there for something very simple and then your cat comes out worse than they were. Or even worse losing your cat Or dog. Now I go to a different vet which makes me feel comfortable, answers all my questions makes my animals feel comfortable and loved and...
