The first thing my family and I noticed on our most recent visit, is some piece of equipment (computer/point of sale equipment?) torn apart on the table in the middle of the dining room right in front of the counter. From previous visits, I deduced that the soda fountain hasn't worked in over a year. The dining room looked a mess and I thought maybe we had just caught them during some renovation work so I wasn't too concerned. The tables that were open and area behind the counter looked clean so we decided to order. The young man that helped us was pleasant enough. I paid with my card and added a reasonable tip as I always try to do. A few minutes after we sat down, we heard some heated conversation between the young man and the lady that was apparently his supervisor. Then the young man came over and stated that he hadn't charged us enough and asked me to come back up to the counter and pay the amount that he had undercharged us. I was a little taken aback. I understand that mistakes happen from time to time, but have never been asked to pay for a mistake made by an errant employee. Furthermore, when I have worked in customer service in the past, it would have never crossed any of my employers' minds to ask a customer to pay again to correct the mistake of an employee. Regardless, I paid the difference, despite the fact that it felt very unprofessional of them to ask. The food was fine, nothing too special. But the food never has been spectacular. My family and I have gone there for over 15 years, mostly because the food was good, they have a decent selection on the menu, it's convenient to where we live and the people have always been pleasant to deal with. But I'm afraid this last experience did it for me. My family and I will now go elsewhere when we are in the mood...
Read moreBest food ever dont believe all the horrible haters on this place it was all a serious miscommunication problem that blew up into half the town hating what was and still is the best teryaki/chinese place in town the poor kid barely speaks english and lets not forget the police did apologize for there part as well as thee owners. Sad but this situation just goes to show how a misunderstanding due to a language barrier almost destroyed a family business. And whoever wrote that they probably serve cat shame on u, u look and sound real intelligent. All the 1 stars is not for the food trust me, and everyone else who gives it high stars is for food and service, not this isolated misunderstanding the kid was just trying to do right by his repeat customer it was the customer that complained about the police when the kid tried to explain that to the police it just turned confusing for the poor kid, u know when ethnic people get asked a ? they dont understand how they always just say yah and nod there head in confusion I think thats what happen, this same kid didnt understand when I placed an order over the phone that I wanted 2 separate orders I said it four times and said I'd explain it when I got there so u can believe me about there being a language barrier, but despite the language barrier its DELICIOUS and the kid always smiles and is forgiven for the...
Read moreI never ever write reviews, this is my first but I wanted to share my disappointing experience.
We haven’t been in this place for about 4 years. I remember this place as a good Chinese food place. Today I got the special which was teriyaki chicken and almond chicken. When the lady was taking my order she mentioned “you know it’s a stir fry”, which I wanted cause I didn’t want breaded chicken. I was shocked what she brought. First, the almond chicken didn’t have any almonds at all and second, the only things in the stir fry was celery, carrots, chicken, and zucchini. That’s it, in that order. I pointed out to the served that there were no almonds. She said: “oh he forgot almonds”. I then asked why is there so much celery and zucchini. She said: “ I told you it’s a stir fry. All our stir fried meals come like that.” I told her I don’t like celery or zucchini. And thats not what stir fried meals looks like. Her reply was: “ did you eat here before?” Yea like 4 years ago. Anyway. The teriyaki chicken didn’t make the meal better. I was disappointed and won’t come here again. Ps: my husband got the combo fried rice and it was ok. When he saw me sitting there being disappointed and not eating my food he politely offered to switch our plates with this comment: “I guess we haven’t missed anything in 4 years and at least we now not to come...
