I never knew that Daffin's Candies had a "Chocolate Kingdom" store up in Sharon,PA.,about 1 1/2 hrs.from Pittsburgh. We have been to the huge Sarris candy /ice cream store up in Canonsburg PA.,but not this one.First impressions upon entering such establishment..pretty large store, indeed.LOTS of chocolate & other sweets.Upon further inspection,1/2 the store is a Hallmark store! Lots of gifts tucked among all the aisles of chocolate goodies. So if u like to shop for special occasions (or just in general),AND load-up on yummy sweets, this would probably be your Mecca 😊.My boyfriend & I weren't interested in gift shopping,so we just headed straight 2 the "single-item" chocolates wrapped in cellophane. We r on a budget,as we visit tons of different places quite often,so we figured this would be the way to go.Spent a little over$20,(including a few postcards)& were quite happy with our "stash",lol.Have 2 mention, btw, the "Chocolate Kingdom" is several animals made out of chocolate, weighing a couple of hundred pounds apiece!Very cool😊Anyway,we tore into a piece of our yummies on the drive home & we.both agreed Daffin's was some of the BEST chocolate we have both ever had.Very creamy, smooth & flavorful. If u r ever in/around Sharon,PA.do stop in..it's well...
Read moreThis was an amazing experience for me. Was a very nice layout of the candy. They not only had bins of loose candy but shelves were full of all types of Easter Candy. Off to one side was home made candy made of white, milk and dark chocolate. I must say it was very delicious. They had a display in the center of the store of a tree made out of chocolate it was awesome same with the one in the back of the store which had elephants and like a little village with a train, merry-go-round,castles, and a Ferris wheel almost every thing was carved out of chocolate. Well it's now the Christmas display and again they didn't disappoint me. It was a wonderful winter scene in the back with a very active scene around the tree in the center of the store. Not only do they have loose candy but a lot of the old time candy along with a place where you can get from small boxes of different types of chocolate truffles to large quantities. You won't be disappointed when...
Read moreAs a kid I loved it so I brought my grandson on a trip home 7 he was excited! We arrived at 5:30 they close at 6 at 5:40 as I walked up to the truffle case the woman turns the light off and says they are closing. I said its 5:40! Nope didn't turn them back on. L had seen a mug he wanted to take back to Tn. But we had to checkout $50. in candy the lack of friendly services the register didn't go unnoticed. We went back L had to have the Aug for Mom he spent another $100. In gifts for family and candy still the dude at the register isn't polite or friendly. I'm not a kid anymore so my palette has matured and I was disappointed in the inferior chocolate used and the overwhelming taste of powder sugar instead of high quality flavors. I won't be going back and to be honest I would of gone the second trip to Philadelphia but L had to have that mug for his Mom. So very disappointing on...
