I had an unlimited movie pass for the last year. We came to this Regal location at least 10+ times. Nearly every time it was quick, easy, and employees were helpful.
However, after our experience the other night I have cancelled my pass. We came to see the new Gladiator 2 movie, arrived right at the āstart timeā of the movie (we all know there are 20-30 mins of ads before it actually starts).
First we got stopped and IDāed at the door to even enter because the movie was R rated (we are clearly not underage but whatever). We then got in line to get a popcorn and a drink that I had earned for free on my Regal account. There were 3 registers open and about 3 people in line in each one.
I am not exaggerating when I say it took over 20 mins just to get to the cashier. When it was finally our turn, I explained I had a free drink and free popcorn on my account that I would be using points for. The cashier obviously was not properly trained to be working the register because she had to ask a manager multiple times about how to do simple tasks. There was a whole issue where she said we didnāt have enough points - the two items together were 13k points and I had over 40k on my account!
A simple transaction that should have been 2 mins tops took over 10 mins. The icing on the cake was really when we were FINALLY cashed out and waiting to receive our popcorn and the cashier decided it was a good time to ask her manager about her days offā¦
After that experience we decided it was no longer worth it to spend nearly $20 a month and then a fortune on concessions just to have sub-par service. There is no reason anyone should be waiting nearly 30 mins to get a small popcorn...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI know theaters are usually not warm... but our experience here tonight was completely horrible. My girlfriend wore a thin zip up hoodie, and a thicker pull over hoodie as well and she was freezing the entire time, towards the end i gave her my sweater to lay over her lap... with so few people in the theaters, the air conditioning should be turned down... especially when its barely over 30 degrees outside... So for everyone saying oh just wear a sweater... um no And let me just add, that she's rarely a cold person... usually always too warm in any given situation. I understand that if the theater was packed, or had more than 10 people in it (this is one nice thing about the place, its not crowded) then there would be a need to keep it at that temp because of the body heat that would be in there but that's just not the case. I do like that the cup holders go up making more room to stretch out for people who are taller like her and I... because lets face it... for taller people its hard to stay comfortable in movie theaters to begin with. The seats do seem outdated but they werent horrible... but with so few patrons... i doubt they can afford it, which sucks because other than these things it's a nice place... always clean and friendly and tons of screens offering lots of choices. But honestly... because of this last polar like experience... I'm not sure we will be returning... it was just not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery upset with what happened to us last night. We arrived early (thankfully) and there were people in our assigned seats. We had a printed confirmation with our seating that was purchased on Oct 23. The people in our seats admitted that they were not supposed to be there but that "management told us we could sit here to stay together" we both went to speak to a manager and he informed the other customer they would have to move, they did not. We waited fifteen minutes and no manager came in to ask them to move to their assigned seats. I had my printed confirmation in hand and they never showed any type of proof on which seats were theirs. They then began to say they bought their tickets early for those seats as well. I went back to find the manager as we were tired of standing in the isle and the previews were starting. I asked Kyle if he would require them to move and I was met with aggression and that he was "working on it" from behind the concession stand. The family finally moved and admittedly sat in their assigned seats. The remaining group in the other seats they were occupying also showed up so there would have been another confrontation even if we had moved. Management handled this so poorly and should have just asked to show tickets (printed on on the app) for proof of seating and they never once asked the other customers, nor did they ask...
