Dropped off my carry gun to have a night sight installed and an upgraded spring kit. The gunsmith does fantastic work and he has done some for me in the past. I have recommended him to several of my friends.
I receive a call february 11th at 10:17am where the person I spoke with informed me that the sight was installed, the spring kit was in, and my gun was ready for pickup, and told me the total was $108.
I tell them I will be there around 12:30-1:00 on my way to work, I arrive around 1pm and wait at the counter. The guy at the counter goes and retrieves my pistol, I open the case and see the parts still in the box. At this time, the gunsmith and the guy from the counter have a conversation in front of me about how he had not gotten to my gun yet and the work was not completed.
I speak with the gunsmith who apologizes and tells me that it will be ready within an hour. I inform him that I have to go to work and do not have the time to wait and will have to pick it up tomorrow. He assures me that it will be ready and I initially exit the store to leave for work.
After some reflection I decided that I was not okay with how this played out and that this is my carry gun, something I have to depend on, and that I was bothered by the fact that I was lied to.
I reentered the store and told the gentleman at the counter that I was unwilling to have this work done at this establishment and that I wanted my firearm returned to me, and that I would have the work done somewhere else.
I waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes before my firearm was returned to me.
I have been a CQT customer for several years and have utilized the range, bought firearms, and conducted transfers throughout the years. And this experience has left a taste in my mouth that I am unable to look past. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
The gunsmith does fantastic work, and this review is not to disparage him or his work. I am simply disappointed by the guys I spoke...
Read moreWe’ve been to close quarters tactical and have used the shooting range a few times, but this review is purely based on the customer service I received from one of the associates this past Saturday 12/7…
Earlier in the week I reached out and left a voicemail in regards to getting a CPL license/registration for the class. No one responded or called me back. That’s fine.
I drove an hour to the place. The gentleman that helped me out definitely gave off the vibe that I was annoying him with asking a few questions about the course and getting gift certificates/registering. Basically I wanted to either buy a gift card for my husband to use towards the course (if that was acceptable) or just buy the the course and gift it that way to him for Christmas.
In case the date of the course didn’t work out, I was told that we are able to reschedule, and the money was transferable. Fine, that’s great! The gentlemen took 40 minutes from start to finish to process the order and request. All while his ears were with another person who must’ve just taken a class in addition to another instructor going back-and-forth about their families, different guns, etc. On top of prolonging my visit, he did the invoice wrong, and another associate had to come up and save the day. I wanted to buy a membership for my husband as well, and a few other accessories, but the guy who was ringing me up, was taking far too long, and seemed very disinterested.
Very thankful the other guy who was able to process everything and get it completed. If the original gentleman was unable to process the request, I wish he asked for the other guy earlier. Please work on your customer service skills. If you’re not qualified to work, the computer/POS system, please don’t do it and waste so long and trying to complete this for me on a Saturday night when there was absolutely no line and no reason for it to...
Read moreI been to CQT several times and will not return. I recoginize that when it is busy, you must make sure you leave after your alotted time. However, I have some "beefs"
the fellow watching the range has sworn at me because I did not leave exactly on time. Swearing and using the "F-Bomb" doesn't cut it and you don't enrage your customers. This is not the place to PO your customers.
I found the controls to set the target need more posted instructions. I wasted more time than I care for trying to figure out how to use them rather than shooting.
while waiting to go on-line, in the store, one individual pulled his firearm for some type of conversation and this disturbed me immensely. He was talking to one of the attendants (not behind te counter) and used very poor judgement when he did that. I had to walk up to him and tell him to put it away. He said it was not loaded. I said I could not tell that and he had it aimed my direction which I did not appreciate One-eye-O-ta! I had to instruct the employee to take charge and his discussions to an open lane where he could point the gun in a safe direction. VERY VERY poor decision making by one of their employees.
I am not interested in going to this facility ever again even though it is less than one mile from my residence. If the offer comes up, I will decline as much as I enjoy target shooting.
I have gone to other local ranges and have been treated with more respect than I have ever seen. I see more respect from complete strangers when I attend the Gibraltor...
