My family Doctor referred me to see Dr. Cucci which is a Neurologist for the Spine. I walked away from five car accidents, and have a neck and lower back injuries from the last car accident which wasn't my fault. I also have a herniated disc from shoveling snow a few years back. Dr. Cucci is a gentleman, polite, treats you with respect, and your needs come first. I have a high pain tolerance. I was having pain with my lower back more than my neck, but we addressed my neck issue first. I didn't get treated for my lower spine, I had forgotten about my lower back pain. I started focusing more with the numbness in my hands, and my shoulder pains instead where my herniated disc is. I am allergic to most Narcotics, so only a few I am able to take. I am a bit overweight so I thought If I lose weight, my pains would go away. I will continue to lose weight for my overall health concerns. My herniated disc is starting to subside and therefore, I am no longer in need of having any treatment done. What no one tells you is that your body can heal on its own, try alternative methods that work for you. I am thinking about Oriental Accupunture for pain relief. Part of everyone's pain problem is that they're overweight, and out of shape. Found out the pain in my shoulder and my hands, thought I had a pinch nerve in my neck causing the pain. No pinched nerve just dead hands. Dead hands means there isn't any feeling in my hands at all. Seeing a hand surgeon for that tomorrow. I am satisfied with my overall experience. I would like to see more positive reviews and to come forth with their experiences at The Macomb Medical Mall. It would be very helpful to others like me. I don't get good vibes when I walk up to the building. Have no clue...
Read moreI was not impressed with the Urgent Care facility. A little over a year ago I was pregnant and had the worse back pain. The staff was friendly enough, however for being the only client in the office and having to wait for over 2 hours just to find out they could do nothing because I needed a doctors approval for a X-ray scan (though I gave them my consent, not knowing I was actually having a miscarriage at the time, they refused) waste of time. I was there for almost 3 hours after said and done, still in much pain that I could barely walk, I was sent home. I was given nothing for the pain but to make an appointment with one of the local Doctors (whom was not available for another two weeks!) I saw my OB doctor the following week, not thinking my back pain was related to my pregnancy (I was only 12 weeks at the time). If only the Urgent Care would have done an ultra sound, I would have found out what the problem was sooner and could have taken something...
Read moreInitial doctors visit in September was good. Dr Stephen Lemos was great. However I've been trying to schedule an ACL surgery since late October and I have no idea why but they deny to schedule me or give me ANY info. I just simply want to know if my doctor Stephen Lemos is even scheduling to do surgeries. Each time I'm forwarded to their scheduler who so far never answered or called back after leaving a message. When speaking to the office lady Julie over the phone she's very kind every single time. But I can't be anything but disappointed with how I am given the same answer every week, "Oh yea sure we'll get that info for you and call back" and never hear a word from them each time. Wish they could tell me if they're not scheduling or not so I could've found a different doctor earlier. Not sure if it's disorganized or they simply didn't want to...
