My first trip to this salon was many years ago, and the service I got was amazing! Recently I went in again, and unfortunately got a hair stylist that was just having a bad day, and the cut I got was a little too short for my liking....however was still a great cut - if that were the length I was going for.

I don't like to make people feel bad...so I was highly hesitant to say anything about it. I ended up letting them know I wasn't happy about my haircut and they immediately sprung into action. Holly - the owner, had me come back in so they could fix it, and then she even gave me $32 in product to style the haircut properly, and then gave me a gift card to come back in for a free cut the next time!

I have to say....I don't blame the hairstylist for messing up....people have off days. And I was a little unhappy with it...but after that AMAZING customer service....they definitely have a repeat customer. Great job 2nd Street Design!!!! THAT is how you...

I have no quibble with the stylists, as a matter of fact, Kelli is terrific. I'd recommend her to anyone. It's the company I have a problem with. I bought a small purse/big wallet there and needed to return it the next day as the credit card slots were so tight I couldn't get the cards in or out. That's when the trouble began. At first they weren't going to let me return it at all. Then they tell me I can exchange it for retail items but not services and I had to do it right then. In the end I was generously allowed to put the money on my account to use on retail items---like I want to buy anything else from them. As to other unbusiness like practices, they charge by the hour so they can't tell you how much a service will cost. Then you get charged, say $200.00, but the receipt has no break down so you still don't know what you're paying for. If you ask, they don't know. I enjoy coming to 2nd Street hair design. Never had an issue and my stylist listens to my requests about my hair and does her best to follow them. She tends to get it perfect every time. Also, they give a shampooing every time I come in which I really enjoy. I like how she does it after the electric trimmer cause it keeps all the little hairs from getting in my shirt. I don't leave there having to run home and take a shower and change my shirt like I have had to at places in the past when the tiny hairs aren't washed away. That drives me crazy. I can come in, leave with my hair styled and go on with my day. Although I do wish I could do my hair as nice at home as it looks when I leave there. I try. Overall, a great place to go with relaxing atmosphere where I can talk if I want to or not. My stylist seems to be able to tell if I feel like talking which I also really like. Sometimes I just enjoy sitting there...
