I took my senior disabled mother to a show at El serape. We arrived early to make sure we had seating and time to eat before the show. We sat at the end of the bar. We ordered food and one drink each. Our appetizer came after our meal, and we were only able in the three hours that we spent there to get one drink. Our initial drink. There were four of us at the end of the bar who waved our arms frantically yelling hello can we get service. We were ignored by both bartenders. So 3 hours in and we have watched one couple leave absolutely angry without touching their food. We watched another couple come in and eat the initial couples plates of food because they were never cleared. And we eventually left after four hours of trying to order any additional food or drink. The band was good and the food was edible. It was neither top-of-the-line nor bottom of the line. The service was nonexistent.
On a side-note it is very difficult to get anybody with any disability in and out of this building while a show is taking place. They have placed the stage right in the walkway of the main door.
I have pictures of the two bartenders that completely ignored the entire end of the bar. Honestly if you want service maybe try the restaurant. And from what I could see of the experience of those around us if you want the proper order go...
Read moreWe ordered take out from here after hearing decent reviews. We live quite a distance away but decided to give it a chance. When we got home from picking up our food we realized it was not even close to what we ordered. We called and explained the situation and they said the only thing they could do is have us bring the food back but we were 50 minutes away at 7 pm. I explained that I was not able to make the 2 hour round trip for it and they said it had to be that night and I wasn’t able to do anything about it the following day. I told them I couldn’t do that so they wanted me to call back in a couple minutes after they talked to the manager. When I called back they said that was still the only thing they could do. They couldn’t comp me for the meal, even though the food I was given was of lesser value and I had to bring the food back that night. When I asked to talk to the manger myself the lady told me he wasn’t in the store and I asked her why she was lying since they told me they were going to talk to him and have me call back. She refused to give me her name then hung up. Overall terrible experience, terrible front desk service, would not recommend this store to anyone who wants to eat what they...
Read moreThe quality of the food has diminished significantly lately: Huge pieces of green and regular onions in the meal, salsa and guacomole, runny cheese sauce in the prawn quesadilla. Found out later they have gone thru 5 cooks recently, Also, the manager of the cantina area caters to the regular groups of men that come in. Allows foul and obscene language and when I mentioned my disgust while trying to enjoy my meal, she told me she couldn't do anything about it. Couldn't, I call that total B.S. More like she likes the "attention" she gets and is always getting big tips from all of them. They have bought and paid the right to be abnoxious in the cantina every time they come in and she is working.
I won't be going there to eat anymore. You've lost a long time (over 20 years) diner because of a pro-sexist bar manager and the food is disappointing,- to...
