Sadly, Katies Place is no longer a thrift store I look forward to visiting. Prices on lots of items have doubled, tripled and some case quadrupled. A common glass mixing bowl I got for $2 a year ago had a sticker price for $10 on it today. A juice machine priced less than a year ago for $10, now marked $20. Many items are MORE expensive than thrift stores in Harrisburg like Sal Army and Comm. Aid. and some are priced within a few dollars of what you can get new at places like Ollie's. Thrift stores often fall into the trap of "boutique pricing" figuring they can price higher because they saw it priced higher on ebay or Poshmark etc. I've bought things at Katies that didn't work or broke, but I didn't care since it was priced to sell and I didn't feel like returning it. Now, I feel I'm wasting my time looking because so many things are priced above my comfort level. They used to have half-off sales and I would load up but not so much anymore. Still appreciate what they do, just wish I had more reason...

Katie’s Place Thrift Shop is a Non-Profit 501c3 and is one of several community outreach programs that are run onsite at 130 South Penn Street location in Shippensburg Pennsylvania. The Thrift Shop began serving the community in 2012.
