Stopped in earlier today with a friend on the hunt for some little candy trinkets for some gift baskets and met Ruth the owner. OMG she was absolutely the sweetest! She was telling me about how hard it was trying to make it through COVID in a college town like this, but they are family owned and luckily still here. I love that she gives back to the community too. In our conversation she specifically mentioned making a bunch of orders and bringing it in to the hospital for every nurse on the floor. I’ve only lived in the area for a handful of years, but I refuse to go anywhere else to get my holiday candies. The Lollipop shop is small, but they have so much to offer. We always look forward to their fist sized chocolate covered strawberries on Valentines, their unique Christmas , easter and other holiday chocolates. My mother and I went to this establishment for the first time today. Got about a pound of chocolate. We both looooved it!!! The wonderful lady working the counter was very nice and helpful. We will most definitely be coming back often. Gonna mail some of these amazing chocolates back home to family and friends. I definitely recommend visiting this establishment if you are in town!!
