Update: I was able to go back in the next day and Ruby was able to redo my nails at no charge. She was very gentle, no pain at all when she removed the design and color. Ruby is a skilled artist and she created the design on my nails exactly the way I originally wanted. I’m very happy and appreciate the professionalism of the salon when handling my complaint. I’m giving four stars as my experience up to today has been mostly wonderful. Ruby is very talented and professional. I had my second appointment scheduled with her this morning, but she was out sick, so Kimmie took my appointment. After my appointment today, my nails hurt and I’m worried that on a couple of my nails, the nail beds are damaged. They are still sensitive and hurting this evening. Even letting semi hot water run over my hands causes the nails to hurt more. In removing the previous powder dip, Kimmie was overly aggressive. It hurt a lot while she was doing it. She also nicked the thumb nail and my skin and it bled during most of the appointment causing blood to discolor the color and design. She talked me into getting acrylic saying that my nails were thin and sensitive due to the powder dip. I’ve had powder dip done multiple times with no problem. The acrylic is uneven (thick in some areas and thin in others). There are multiple flaws. Also, the design I asked for, which was fairly simple looks nothing like what I actually got. I’m attaching a picture of the design and of how my nails came out. I’m very disappointed.

Long review: 3 stars is very generous, considering that I was provided less than satisfactory customer service by Ruby. She had a bad attitude when I asked her to fix my ombre nails, because each nail was different from another. So I had to ask if she could take away sparkles or add more in some nails and she glared at me and made me feel bad for asking. Furthermore, she cut my skin in multiple places, and even shaved off some of the dipping powder, which created a grown out look. She also rushed the service because everybody was going home at 6:30, but the salon closes at 7:30. (See black ombre nails for Ruby’s work. First picture has blood stain and cut on the pinky and awkward sparkles on the ring finger. Second pic has top coat fading on the ring finger). Today, I called the manager to complain about the service I was given, and the manager’s initial response was, “so what do you want?”. There was no remorse at all. I asked if I could come in to have the service redone of no charge to which he agreed. I was VERY happy with Allison (see pink ombre pictures). Allison has a wonderful attitude and she was apologetic about what happened to my skin. Even though I really liked Allison, I unfortunately will not be coming back. You have been warned by the 1 star reviews too. Strange that the owner doesn’t respond to many of those, but to each their own.

This salon has such a good concept but mediocre execution. They focus a lot on decor/appearance and beverages and not enough on the quality of the services they provide. I got a pedicure and gel manicure recently. The pedicure is messy and the technician had to use acetone with a paint brush and go around all my cuticles to clean it up. Never seen that method but I don’t think that’s the best. Manicure was worse. Though it looks okay, I had a somewhat unfriendly/grumpy young man do it and he was really rough with my hands - yanking them when he needed me to go under UV light and then going too hard on my massage. Also, they use cheap polish (Seattle brand?) that stings really bad before and during UV curing. Corners are being cut in odd places, clearly, the customer service (aside from the young men at the front desk who are lovely) is subpar, and the mani/pedis aren’t high quality (I came out of my mani with paint on my cuticles, there’s already a chip in one, and there are a bunch of rough spots). It’s convenient to my apartment, but I likely won’t be going back. One more thing that creeped me out: One employee was digging around in the over-frozen slushie machine with a shovel without a glove on. I’m not sure but that seems like a violation of food service code?

Listen to all of the other reviews and TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! I should have. It’s pretty obvious the employees are paid to do the absolute bare minimum and their management is clearly awful based on the bad attitudes of every single employee and the atrocious quality of work being done.

I got a full acrylic set, but the person didn’t even push back my cuticles before starting. I didn’t notice until after it was too late so my nails were applied incredibly unevenly and on a couple nails the acrylic was applied OVER my skin so it is not properly adhered to the nail bed! I had to painfully trim them myself when I got home(turns out “cuticle trimming” is an add-on service, even if it interferes with getting your nails done correctly…if I had been told that at any point I would have paid to have them trimmed first!) and two of those nails are lifting at the back because they weren’t applied to the nail correctly - it’s been 2 freaking days!

My friend that came and got her nails done with me was so much worse. Not only were her nails unbelievably thick because that employee(I refuse to call her a “nail artist”) used too much acrylic, her shaping was also so uneven it looked like they were done by someone who has never seen acrylic nails before! She asked for an extremely simple design of small stars and the artist left her with giant, messy, smeared things that looked more like crosses than stars. We tried to ask them to fix it as it genuinely looked like a toddler had painted them, but all they would do was add more paint on top of the shitty crosses that made them even thicker and more messy looking before they told us they were closing(mind you our appt started 2+ hours before they close) and had us pay and leave. We ended up going to a different nail salon first thing the next morning to get her nails fixed and that completely unrelated artist apologized for how bad those nails were! It’s insane that we paid for them to be honest.

We also got simple pedicures done and the people doing them were very rude, constantly on their phone and walking away to make personal phone calls in the middle of services. They also clearly rushed when painting as they did not wait even a full minute between applying coats. They ended up sending me off with super wet polish that immediately smudged and smeared as it wasn’t properly dried before they told me I was good to go.

Go literally anywhere else, I’m...

I've gone here a couple times. Each time the nails turn out okay but there was always something. Employees would talk down to me for asking questions or not understanding how something worked. Or they would burn with their tools or rip my skin because it got stuck the the acrylic, or theyd forget to bring me the drink I checkmarked. All I just let go as the nails turned out okay and I assumed most was due to my lack of knowledge.

Today, I went in to get the acrylics removed and planned on getting a manicure and painted nails after.

The employee that started on my nails grinded down the shellac and then took the nail clippers and clipped a small piece off each nail and then started ripping them off the first nail hurt but came off. The second nail she ripped off hurt and some of it wouldn't come off without me being concerned it would rip some of my actual nail off so I asked if there was another, less painful way of getting it off and that I didn't realize getting acrylics off would be so painful or I wouldn't have gotten them in the first place. She said there was no other way and continued on with other fingers, leaving the bits that were too painful. On the second hand the acrylic came off a little easier and she had said it wasn't so bad and I said "I guess but I wish there was a different way to remove them" she was almost done with the pieces that would come off at this point but said that you could soak in acetone but it took too long and wasn't good for the skin.

When she started trying to rip off the pieces of acrylic that were really stuck and painful, I asked her to just buffer them down a little if possible or to just leave them. I told her I would like to cancel the manicure and polish as my nails felt very sensitive now and I didn't want them messed with anymore. When she was done, I paid the $10 for removal and left.

My nails are thin, sore, extremely sensitive, and I have random lumps on almost all fingers. I was incredibly...

Edit: The owner reached out to me personally, and I was able to get my nails re-done, free of charge. The staff was nothing but kind and understanding! Natalie did an amazing job fixing my nails. I am so excited to go back in a few weeks for a fill. I would absolutely recommend Stella Nails!

I’m not usually one to write reviews—good or bad—but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had getting my nails done. I went with my sister for a “girls’ day,” and we were both excited. The front desk was very kind, and my sister’s nail tech was great—she was friendly, asked questions about what my sister wanted, and delivered exactly that.

However, my own nail tech never asked me what color I wanted. She immediately started applying a light pink base, even though I mentioned multiple times I wanted to match my sister’s nude base color. After I got up to wash my hands, my sister and her nail tech asked if Kimmie had ever asked me about the color I wanted, and I told them no. I’m not a confrontational person, and it’s nerve-wracking to speak up when you aren’t even given the chance in the first place.

When I finally requested a nude color, she got an attitude and made me “check” every nail after she painted it. I understand wanting to ensure quality, but this came across as petty. Worse still, she filed my nails so aggressively that she drew blood on every finger of my right hand. It’s been two days since the appointment, and my fingers still hurt from the cuts. The acrylics are also separating from my natural nails, and I’m honestly upset that my sister and I paid nearly $200 for nails that won’t even last a week.

Overall, this was a really disappointing experience, and I would not...
