Let me start this off by saying I have enjoyed the Pho and other fare here pretty frequently for a few years now. However after my experience today I won't be returning.
Today me and my girlfriend each got a bowl of Pho, and after finishing most of each, my girlfriend found a small maggot in hers. I called the cashier woman over and showed her. She apologized and cleared our table.
After sitting for a moment and discussing for a moment with my gf about the issue we decided we would obviously not be paying for the soup. I went up to the counter and was going to explain that I wouldn't be paying and the lady immediately apologized and said we would not have to pay. To their credit they were nice about it and it wasn't a hassle despite the fact that we had both finished the majority of our food before we found the maggot.
As I said I had enjoyed the food here for quite a while without any issues, and this could have been a one-off incident, but I just don't want to risk that again, so I won't be eating here anymore. It is a bit disappointing as it was my go-to spot for Pho, and they are making some renovations and the place is beginning to look much nicer.
Two stars because I had plenty of great experiences here, but one maggot can kinda negate...
Read moreI used to live down the street from this place and would come get pho on a regular basis. Its been a few years and i was sick in the area, so stopped in for some soup n bubble tea. (Cuz ya know, bubble tea fixes all lol) theyre in the middle of renovating the place, so its completely different looking than i remember. Much nicer. The bubble tea tastes a bit griddy, they use the power stuff and didnt blend it well. I recieved my food very quickly. Unfortunately they didnt give me lime or jalapeno. I waited a few mins before eating waiting for someone to come back over so i could ask for some. No one did so i ate. The food is still good but They cut the amount of meat to like 1/3 of what it used to be. Ive been done with my meal for over 30mins and am STILL waiting for someone to check on me to see if i need a water refill or a box for my soup to go.... ive had 4 workers look at me patiently waiting, then walk the other way. They're too busying talking to each other than to check on their customers. Customer service has gone down the toilet and im NOT impressed. Wont be returning next time...
Read moreSeattle is a place with an abundance of Pho restaurants, and the majority of them seem to just stick to mediocrity. They find a way to make some cheap beef broth and rice noodles and call it Pho, expecting you'll be happy eating it because you don't know any better. This place however is the best Pho restaurant in the area, and one of the best in Seattle in my opinion. I absolutely love their broth, as it seems to stand out better then the rest. But Pho is just the start, because this place has an entire Vietnamese food menu. The way they cook their meats for the rice dishes is delicious. I would highly recommend trying their Vietnamese chicken or pork sandwiches. I've found a personal favorite combination of getting a small pho and a chicken sandwich, and dipping the sandwich in the beef broth. I'd say I order this about 90% of the time I go, because the bread soaks up all the beef broth for a fantastic treat! Yes the decor is a tad dull, and the service might not be your 5 star restaurant variety, but for great tasting and cheap eats I highly recommend trying...
