On 6/15/25 I wrote an email to Posh inquiring about their consignment services. It stated âHi there! I am looking for a consignment shop for all my clothes that are too big. All of them are designer, most with tags still on and the others are tags off and never worn or worn once. Could I see your agreement/contract?â Posh responded with the following and attached a copy of their agreement, âGood morning. I have attached a copy of our assignment agreement. Let me know if you have any questions.Sarah and Sue.â (Notice they wrote âassignmentâ instead of âconsignment.â) I read the entire agreement and noted that they required a list of items from the consignor. I wrote back and asked âWhat do you need on the list of items? And when is a good drop off day?â Their response was snotty and I should have backed out at that point. The response was âIâm not sure what you mean by what do you need on the list of items? If you would like to make a list of what your items are before you bring them in for your own records, be sure to do that. Otherwise, we will make a list of the items that you bring in and we will email that to you once we have them priced. We asked that you bring in no more than 20 items. Once we have tagged your items and sent you an email you are welcome to bring in more. We accept consignment Tuesday through Friday 12 to 5. Posh Collective Sarah Spencer and Sue Froelich.â I responded and copied and pasted part of their agreement into my email. âIt says this in your agreement: Prior to or upon delivery of the merchandise, the Consignor shall provide a complete and accurate inventory list of the merchandise items that have been brought to Posh Collective, to be consigned.â It clearly stated that I needed to provide a list. Did they not even read their own agreement? Another red flag. Posh responded with âYes. That would be for your own records if you needed it. But we would provide one for you for the items that we can sign. Posh Collective Sarah Spencer and Sue Froelich.â Obviously, they did not read it. On 6/21/25 I went to the store with my items and was told they currently were not taking any consignment. I said I had wrote an email on Monday and they never said that. She replied with âwell what did we sayâ in a very snotty tone. Another red flag. I told them the basics of our email exchange and she asked for my email address. She then went searching through her emails like she needed to find the proof and I lied. She found our email exchange and noted âthat was on Sunday, before we decided not to take anymore.â I never received an email with this information so how would I know that? She stated that they would take a look at my items since they had already agreed and went through and both picked a few items. She had me sign the agreement she had sent Sunday and bagged up the others items that they were not going to take for me to take home. She stated she would send an email with the list of items and the prices they would be sold for. I thanked them and left. The next morning, not even 24 hours later, I received the following email, âAfter further consideration of your items, we have decided we will not accept any of them. We have more than enough consignment and the items you brought in are very similar in size and style to what we currently have on hand. Hence, the decision we had made to stop accepting consignment (right after our last email communication.)  Please pick up your items by July 22. If they are not picked up by that time, we will donate the items for you. Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5. Thank you, Sue and Sarah at Posh Collective.â I was absolutely floored. Why didnât they just say that yesterday? If they were so similar, why did they pick out items? Later that day I went to the store. I walked in, the owner said hi and I asked for my items back. She said sure, walked into the back and came back with a bag and handed it to me. She meekly said âthanksâ and walked away. No apology. No nothing. Just a complete waste of my time. What a horrible way to...
Read moreFor a long time, there wasnât a consignment store that was close by to the Shorewood/North Shore area and one that actually had items I liked. I am SO glad Posh came along. It is so conveniently located and their selection of fun and stylish clothing, shoes, bags and jewelry is amazing. Every time I go in, I find many items I love (and receive many compliments when I wear them, too!). I have also really enjoyed consigning with Sarah and Sue. They have curated such a fabulous store.
