Worst experience Iāve had at any business in a while :( I am visiting from DC, so am used to paying above average prices for nails, but was shocked by this salonās prices and lack of transparency. I sat down for a gel acrylic fill without asking the price first (my fault), but looked down and saw a price list on the table that said $50 for a gel fill. I asked my nail tech to confirm, and she asked if I had been there before (?) to which I responded āno,ā then said she had to ask her boss how much it would be (?) She said $75 and I reluctantly sat back down to begin shaping. The nail tech filed so roughly that I was bleeding from 2 fingers. At that point I told her to finish the shaping and I would just get my fill when I got home to DC. She then said she had to ask her manager, again, how much I would have to pay for the gel removal and nail filing. The manager came over and informed me it would be $25 even if I didnāt receive a fill or new polish and tried to convince me to proceed with the $75 fill. I asked her to elaborate why my original fill was $75 and she couldnāt give me a reason aside from ābecause theyāre long.ā I declined the fill and hesitantly checked outā they charged me for 3 random things to equal $25, despite my incomplete service and bleeding fingers. Tech was very nice but unfortunately just an overall unprofessional experience and complete...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI feel compelled to leave a glowing review for myself, and a not so glowing review for my daughter, whom I doubt will leave a review. My nail tech, Ann, was AMAZING, truly the best I've ever had for gel mani/pedi. She took her time and every finger and toe is perfect. If I ever go back to Buffed and Polished, I'd request her and only her. I got the back-to-school special for $85. I did have to correct them at the register, because at first they told me $100. Now my daughter got a gel pedi and a gel-x mani, French plus chrome, and was charged $165!!! That just can't be right, but if it is, it's WAY overpriced. But worse, as pretty as her nails "looked", at closer inspection almost every nail was not smooth around the edges. I cannot believe her tech let her leave that way! Was it because her hour was up? I have no idea, but if it were me, I'd be completely dissatisfied, esp for $165!! One last thing, I've never had gel-x, but there was some yucky stuff caked up under each of her nails. I wonder if that's that normal? All this being said, I think that staff was happy and friendly, but the pricing seemed shady. For that reason I'd be hesitant to return based on pricing and quality my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going to buffed and polished for months for my acrylic nails. I decided to change from acrylics to dip with extensions. My normal nail tech was leaving the business so she set me up with another lady at the salon to do the dip for me. She started the dip process while I was getting my pedicureāwhich I thought was a little odd. Then once my pedicure was over we moved over to her normal station to finish my nails. Iām really not impressed with the quality of my dip nails with extensions. There are pronounced divots in the center of each nail that should most definitely not be there. About four days after my manicure I noticed cracking along where the extension was placed one several fingers. Now a week out I have cracks across five fingers with one nearly ready to rip off with my natural nail. For the price I paid, to say Iām disappointed is an understatement.
My pedicure on the other hand was fantastic! The service was awesome and the nail tech was very sweet. Gel polish still looks great even after intense walking...
