Van Gogh Immersive Experience. I’ve been wanting to see this for awhile, finally took the time. This is a great experience for art fans, or learners alike. Many have seen his famous paintings, but take a journey into his life. Specific reviews:

Online ticket ordering was flawless. I bought a ticket 15 minutes in advance and walked right in. VIP experience includes VR (highly recommended) and a “green screen” photo op.

The “experience” is excellent. Unique presentations of Van Gogh (3d imagery/projections). Real life/sized models of his “bedroom” reflected the painting in walk-in, real life. (Setup to walk in for selfie/photo shoots).

Pro Tip. The final “exhibit” is a lounge chair and “light show” of sorts on the wall. People were relaxing in comfortable recliners, or on rugs on the floor. Be prepared to relax and enjoy this 30 minutes (?) duration. (I lost track of time).

Virtual Reality. I love Meta Quest VR, so I’m comfortable with the Oculus 2 headset. No experience necessary, no hand controls. Simply put on the headset for a guided journey. Not for everyone, but this was an excellent journey through a Van Gogh world based on his paintings. “Starry Night” - you’re “in” starry night and walking around (360 - spin on the chair to see what’s around you). Well...

Save your money. The family was so excited to see the Van Gogh experience. Unfortunately it ended up being nothing more than some reproductions of his work projected onto blank canvases and a few diaramas. The “immersion” was not interactive at all, like we had expected, just a bunch of lawn chairs lining a room with more images projected on the walls. The 3rd phase of the “experience” was a VR headset that wasn’t included in your standard ticket. We have been to similar things that were far more impressive.
