I'm only giving 2 stars because it is just a couple of FRIENDLY faces at this location. I am a loyal customer. I shop at Brookshire’s at least 4 times a week. I always get my money orders from Brookshires because of my status, it's free. I went in to purchase a money order and I was told the policy is only one debit card, NO SPLIT PAYMENTS. I asked the lady at the counter when did this policy starts, her reply was 2 months ago. Needless to say, I knew that wasn't true due to the fact I ALWAYS purchase my money orders from this location, using 2 debit cards. I literally drove 25 minutes across town to another Brookshire’s (Pines Road) and was able to use my debit cards. If they are part of this organization (Brookshire's) they should have the same rules that applies to all stores. I shouldn't have to drive across town to another location when it's a store present on my side of town. I've been shopping with Brookshire’s since I was a child. I didn't like the way I was treated nor being lied to about a policy, because either they didn't want to work or just making up rules. Please correct and address this issue or I'll be taking my money...
Read moreMy experience with this store was always good until I ordered a cake for my son's birthday. I paid for it before I left. When I came to pick it up I couldn't leave because I had no receipt. So I asked if they could pull up the camera that would show that I had paid for it the day I put in the order but was treated like I was a thief. I have never stolen anything in my whole life. I didn't want to wait any longer because people was showing up at my house for my son's PARTY. So I left my name an number there days No call. I would have let it go but I paid for a cake that I didn't have. So I called them back three days later and gave my name and number again. That was two months ago and still no call. I feel like they never even bothered with it to look in to it. I was a all the time costumer and now I wouldn't spend a dime...
Read moreI love Brookshire's grocery. Brookshire's has a warm, down home feeling and appeal. The employees always seem well trained, informative, and eager to assist you. Prices are above the big box stores, but not enough to keep Brookshire's from being competitive in the grocery market. The biggest price difference I note, is in the vegetable and fresh fruits. It seems there always are some good meat values in the meat section. This helps to curb the slightly higher prices. I would pay more for meat I know is fresh, rather than have to return spoiled meat back as have in another store. Brookshire's has a very loyal small-town local base, and they cater to that base. Great store with awesome managers such as Louis here in New Boston. Shop...
