I have never written a Google review before. I'm 36 and I never planned on it. But the experience I had here was terrible in so many different ways, that I would be doing my community an injustice if I remained indifferent.
Even thinking about the experience infuriates me. So, I will skip the details and leave out the names of the people involved in this incident. This is for USA Pawn and Jewelry corporation, not their employees.
I could seriously write pages upon pages of feeling belittled, insulted and EXTREMELY ANGRY about this incident, but I am going to focus on the serious issue that needs to be addressed-
This post is strictly to warn my peers NOT TO PURCHASE ITEMS FROM THIS RETAILER.
I HAVE FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.
I CAN TELL YOU WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT THAT THEY SELL DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. I can also prove from first hand experience that THEY DO NOT INSPECT THEIR ITEMS ON INTAKE.
When I pawned my analog outboard music studio gear to them, I made it quite clear that I was very upset about being sold a defective piece of digital outboard equipment 2 months before.
When I did set up the item, it powered on, but it didn't work. 2 of the buttons were completely broken, they just looked fine until I pressed them. When I returned it, I was greeted with...and I'm ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS...the worst customer service that I have EVER experienced.
As far as I'm concerned, if USA Pawn hires an assistant manager and allows them to be in charge of the entire operation for part of the day, THAT EMPLOYEE NOW SPEAKS FOR AND REPRESENTS THEIR ENTIRE CORPORATION.
They offered no apology and suggested that I broke it. I handed the $200 Digidesign FX processor to them and told them to throw it away for me.
So, as I was fuming at the other end of the store, they were coming up with the most ridiculous low-ball loan numbers that were so insulting that I almost laughed when they gave me their offer.
THEY BASE THEIR INTAKE PRICES ON THE LOWEST PRICE FOR THE ITEM ON EBAY, EVEN IF THERE IS ONLY ONE IN TERRIBLE CONDITION.
I gave them $900 worth of microphones and analog outboard gear to hold for a few days and they gave me only $115. (Of course, this does not concern me because I'm picking up the items on Thursday. I was only there to get about $100 on hand for the night.)
HERE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS EXPERIENCE THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW-
When they put the $115 dollars in my hand, AFTER the paperwork was signed... THEY HAD NOT EVEN PLUGGED ANY OF MY GEAR IN YET TO SEE IF IT POWERED ON.
I looked at them in shock and asked, "So are you sure this stuff here is good to go? Did you even check it?" Their response was just as unbelievable. "Nah. There's another person in line behind you and we're trying to close."
So the same person who told me that I broke the equipment I bought, because it wouldn't have left the store in a broken condition...JUST SHOWED THAT THEY WERE LYING TO MY FACE ABOUT THE GEAR BEING IN PROVABLE, WORKING CONDITION WHEN IT LEAVES THEIR STORE.

THEY DON'T HAVE ANY TRS, XLR, MIDI, OR TS CABLES TO TEST AUDIO EQUIPMENT THERE. THEY HAVE NO PRE-AMP, BOARD, TAPE MACHINE, OR COMPUTER TO HOOK ANYTHING UP.
IF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING, THEN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN CONFIRM IF AUDIO EQUIPMENT THEY PUT ON THE SALES FLOOR...

The staff are very patient and one would be hard pressed to find a pawn shop where you could be treated better and as much time as i have spent in this store i can tell you everyone every customer receives this same consideration. Iv never had a concern about any item iv received a loan on .as most youll always find any where your shoping those 1 or 2 employees you hope are on duty Because you enjoy visiting with them while there , Where ever there is, as far as usa pawn i always hope R O B E R T. . is working. Hes so easy to be comfortable around and again from my own personal experience he will always do the absolute best he possibly can weather taking special care of an item you leave on loan with him or shoping out the best price on your shoping list but for my self its simply the character of individual R O B E R T IS. that continue's to bring me back on a regular basis ,ill wait and let other customers go ahead of me just to get robert and Roberts employers should be greatfull for the employee they have in robert.....and for what its worth this review is by a prior pawn shop owner Operator and dont hesitate to tell all who read this review .....if i decided to ever open my doors again Ill try stealing robert from his...
Read moreI have never had the urge to write a review on here and probably will never write another, but I need to let people know about my experience in this place. The prices are okay and the employees are usually pretty cheerful and helpful, but since the new manager Chuck has been there, the place is awful. The employees are almost always in a bad mood because they constantly have to drop everything they are doing to show the 'manager' how to ring up a sale. He talks down to his employees as well as customers and leers at the women like they are his dinner. Two of the workers have told me that they have already started looking for other jobs to get away from this creep and I don't blame them. I am looking for another place to shop, as well. Chuck, if you read this, you are the absolute worst and USA made a huge mistake in hiring you. If you spent some time learning how to do your job, maybe your workers wouldn't be so miserable and you might succeed here. I doubt you will, but I am hopeful. USA has always been a fun place to shop and visit with the employees, but you have killed the spirit. Thanks...
