Ordered from this place, 3 meals. all supposed to come with 16 container of rice so 48 ounces of rice. The owner has decided to say they put all 3 orders in one container. The problem is the container is only 32ounces. huh . The math does not add up. Check my 2nd meal and the meal was made incorrectly. Checked the 3rd meal looks gross and horrible tasting. Called the shop and the guy answering the phone admits to me that the owner had decided to rip off customers ordering multiple meals and not give them the correct amount off rice, he agreed it was wrong. Then I brought up the meal that was made incorrectly, he apologized and said he forgot to tell them about the changes. No big deal it happens. I also told him about the problem I had with the taste of the 3rd meal. I advised it would be best to just refund my card , at this point I did not trust this place , knowing that they make a concuss effort to rip off customers. He then told me I would have to drive all the way back in and bring the food back if I wanted a refund. I told him that I was on the outskirts of town and don't think I should have to waste another 30 or 40 mins of my life bringing food back that they messed up on. He would not let me speak to the owner/boss, but someone else came on the phone would he said was a manager, but I doubt that speaking to the person , probably just another employee backing him up. I would not refer people to this place, not just do to the low quality of the food but also the dishonestly in business practice and poor customer service. How does a business owner knowingly rip off customers?!Then I went in to get my refund, wasting my time and the owner tried to argue the refund, even though they messed up the food and did not give me all my rice. This place is...
Read moreMaybe this place is great for take-out? Because our dine-in experience was not great.
There was only one family inside as we arrived on a Friday evening, I guess we should have taken the hint.
There is a great selection on the menu, and the food was fine. The hot and sour soup was good, portions of the entrees were generous too. The food came out quickly, and was very hot as it reached the table.
So, the problems: one of the glasses had visible food particles on it. The replacement the server brought did also. At this point, we were clearly the only diners, and source of one of few tips for the night, so you'd think the server would inspect it well before bringing it out.
Additionally, we could hear employees arguing in the back at times throughout our meal, and besides the exterior décor, no ambiance, unless you count the shopping-mall grade gift shop that takes up a quarter of the floor space. No music was playing either, making being the only customers even more awkward.
Finally, after receiving the check we saw nobody at all until after sitting at our table for about five minutes, got tired of waiting there, and went to the register, waiting a couple minutes there as well before being rung up. The server jokingly mentioned about that not being great service. We politely shrugged.
Considering the experience with the service, the slightly-above 15% tip seemed generous, but my wife and I both are we heard an exasperated exhalation as we turned...
Read moreI tried this place 2 years ago, never went back and thought I would try again. I met one of the new owners and expressed I hoped things were looking better.
They are not. Here it goes:
Crab puffs-the smallest saddest things I have ever seen, I paid extra for imitation crab meat to not see any, let alone cream cheese. They were the biggest joke at the table.
Pad thai-no basil or cilantro? Not recognizable as pad Thai, just a soy drenched brown sauce. Also had broccoli, cabbage and zucchini which I have never seen in pad Thai before and not on the menu. Onion was on the menu, but also not a common thing in pad Thai.
Pad prik sod-literally none of the vegetables mentioned on the menu, they even added corn...weird. it was supposed to be spicy and was not at all.
Chicken lo mein-extremely dry and lacking flavor. Not necessarily bad, but nothing I would eat again. Kids had to add soy AND Sriracha to have any flavor.
Chicken teryaki-it was more like chicken in garlic sauce and didn't resemble teriyaki chicken in the slightest
Thai sticks-literally the best thing we ordered, but have to pay extra for chicken? I have never seen that before, that should be a standard meat option.
Overall I would wait another 2 years to even attempt this place and see if any changes to the menu to resemble actual Thai food or Chinese food. 2 stars only for the decent chicken satay that they call...
