I began attending the Methodist Church in Simpsonville around the end of 2015 with my girlfriend who was a long time member. I proposed, was baptized, joined the church, and was married in short succession.
I have now been a member for 7 years and am heavily involved. I resisted joining a church for most of my adult life, even though I grew up going to a local Baptist. I have always believe in Jesus, and the fellowship I have experienced at this church is what drove me to be baptized.
If you have read more than one review for this church, you have seen positive and negative comments about Pastor Mike. I recommend not letting the negative reviews deter you. I know this is true because of a past job I worked with many preschools...
Read moreThis used to be a great church. One that I loved to go to. Where my husband finally was Baptized along side his daughters. My kids looked forward to going to everything. Till pastor Mike Smith took over. After pushing out all the beloved staff that had been there (mostly female). He is rapidly pushing away long time family as well. So much for open minds, open hearts, open doors. If your not politically correct and ready to take his side on everything don't...
