Mizers Foods — Local services in Slidell

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Poor customer service. If I could give this store a negative five stars I would. I normally shop here in effort to support local businesses. Unfortunately, this is no longer an option for me. After shopping for about an hour and a half, all groceries checked, bagged and placed in buggy. I have one item left that was on sale according to Mizers signage. The smart water rang up for $8.70 while tag with description shows $2. Great sale right? Wrong. The manager Roger stated that a customer placed the item in the shelf. When I asked if the customer came in a stocked his entire shelf with the product, he just shrugged his shoulders. Roger then proceeded to explain to me that I should match the UPC'S on the item to the shelf. Yes, you read it right. Not only am I supposed to pay for my groceries but it is now MY JOB to make sure the prices are correct on their signs and to match UPC'S. The cashier explains to the manager that indeed the sign shows exactly what I said. He then says I'm sorry I cannot sell this to you for the sign we have because the merchandise is in the wrong spot. The customers fault I guess. I told Roger he can keep all $288.96 of the groceries in the buggy. He said okay, I'll cancel the transaction. The assistant Manager Roger made a decision that Mizers would rather lose $288.96 over $6.70 for their mistake. I will no longer shop here as I did 3-4 times a month. We were at Mizer's to pick up a few household needs. As I was walking in, I saw, what I thought were, discount item baskets, as they have price signs on them. One sign simply stated 5 for $1.00. Seeing some Lutein capsules. These were labeled $7.95. I picked up one of the five packages there, took it to the customer service desk, and ask the lady there to scan it for a price check. They were indeed $7.95. I pointed out the sign on the basket where I had got the item from. The employee, manager?, said, "Sometimes the stockers would place overstock items there." I replaced the Lutein in the basket where I found it. I, then, selected some breakfast cookies, from the basket. We continued our shopping.

We came to the sliced meat counter. The smell of putrid mop water permeated the air. It was bad enough to make one want to heave. I informed the lady at the counter, she said that it was the responsibility of two young men lounging at the door to the back area of the store. This was the fourth time in recent months that I had made this complaint to a Mizer's employee.

At this time, we decided to go check out. This is when we were informed the breakfast cookies, from the basket were indeed discounted, but were $1.00 per box, not 5 for $1.00 as advertised. The cashier took the breakfast cookies to the employee, manager at the customer service desk, who stated, "I told him that they weren't discounted."

Today at the cashier. That old ladies at casher 4 was too much of a talker and bossy , she thinks I don't understand what shes saying about putting MY grocery items on my recyclable bags AND NOT REMOVING IT on the cart, Old Maam . Im on a hurry my daughter just got out from the doctor’s appointment YOU are insisting of placing my grocery item on my bags your way! First of all keep your ideas and opinions to yourself. You think you’re the only one that has shorts hands,Im short too, Secondly you wasted my time and insulted me that I did not get what you mean, I speak 3 languages by the way🤨. I don't wanna argue with OLD PEOPLE out of respect. Lastly, I just got out from work and went to picked up my at her school coz she was not feeling well and went to the doctor’s office. I had a long day!!! I am very polite to old people, but today was an exemption. Today was the very first time I shop at Mizers and NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME BSCK TO SHOP THERE.!
