Sweetz Shop Slidell — Restaurant in Slidell

I had a pretty terrible first visit here. My kids chose candy and we put it in bags and went to the register and it was $17+ some change according to the weight machine they use for 4 bags with only about 1/8 amount of candy in them. The rude girl at the register took my $20 and then told me she didn’t have change so I told her I would pay the exact amount I owed. After staring at me for a solid 2 minutes, she informed me she couldn’t give me my $20 back because she had already shut the cash drawer… She ended up just doing a refund after I told her I needed my change. When we finished that, she had to ring up the candy again on the scale (same bags same amount) and it rang up $18+… I asked why it was a different amount from before and she said “I dunno 🤷🏻‍♀️ “… so I pulled out candy until it was close to the original amount left it on the counter and just paid and left. I won’t be back! The AC wasn’t working inside the place either so I doubt any candy will be good for too long if it isn’t fixed soon. Save your $$ bad customer service and expensive. We stopped by this sweet shop for a quick treat and ended up trying a couple of their smoothies with a variety of toppings. Everything was flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. The toppings added a fun twist—definitely worth customizing to your taste!

The staff weren’t overly chatty, but they were helpful and welcoming, which added to the laid-back, friendly vibe of the place. Knowing it’s family-run adds a nice personal touch. It’s a cute spot if you’re in the mood for something refreshing and a little indulgent....

Tried Sweetz Shop tonight because my sister saw them online. I will not be back!
