Dollar Tree — Local services in Smyrna

They are stealing food stamps at this location. Last week February 27 I came and made Food Stamp purchase a $40 and the remaining portion was to be used on credit card. After the Food Stamp portion was approved I inserted my credit card and the cashier canceled the transaction. I was told that I needed to do the entire transaction again even though the food stamps had already said approved. I did so and question whether or not I would be charged twice and was told no. I then checked my Food Stamp balance and saw two duplicate transaction and immediately went back in the store to speak to the managerwho told me it will be refunded in three days and it has not. In addition, he gave me a one 800 number on the back of the receipt and it’s a number to a Medicare company. He said his name was Greg and the cashier’s name was Gene and I believe that both of them are running a Food Stamp operation. I made a comment about this in a Facebook group with a few moms who have told me similar stories about this particular location. There are two kinds of customers that shop at Dollar tree. The first kind, is the customer who walks in and asks themselves, what happened here and is this a crime scene? They quickly slip out, hoping that they didn’t leave any fingerprints or they may be considered a suspect in this disaster. The second customer who shops here is the one who is responsible for this mess. That customer just picks up an item and carelessly puts it down anywhere they choose. Probably paying in loose change.

The employees look like they know they’re up against insurmountable odds dealing with the customer and the maintenance of the store. Horrible. Leaving this store now! Disappointed! The store looks like a mess, boxes everywhere, shelf empty, customer service sucked. After being in one line the Manager Walked away I'm assuming to clock an emplyee in. I was left in line nothing was said After about 5min of waiting I just went to another line. The girl at the register didn't speak and I guess I was taking too long to get my money from her so she laid it on the counter and still didn't speak. Then moved on to the next customer as I didn't exist or was still standing there. Ugh.. These stores are hiring horrible non customer service mamanagement and kids at registers.
