I have to say I have never been more disappointed in an experience that I've had at a restaurant. I have ordered from this restaurant many times through GrubHub and many times been very happy. however tonight my order was not cooked the way it was supposed to be I ordered medium rare steak and it was well done, and the chicken was very dry. Seeing as this was one of my go-to restaurants I thought I would call the management and let them know what had happened. To my absolute horror and astonishment the manager who said his name was Rich was not only rude but did not believe that my food was over cooked. He then told me he was going to check with the chef and came back to tell me the chef said he cooked it correctly. I asked him so you don't believe me? Well, I'm more than happy to take a picture of it and show you that its well done and how dry the chicken is. which he kept talking over me not listening...then he proceeds to put me on hold for 10 minutes while helps other customers. when he came back to the phone I asked him what his name was and as I mentioned earlier he said Rich and that he was the manager. I then asked him who the owner of the restaurant was he answered me with. the owner is not here and I don't know who they are. I've then told him due to the fact that he has treated me with such disrespect and even acted angry that I dare criticize his food that I just wanted my money back and I would not be ordering with them again. This made him even more irate as he was screaming over top of me so I hung up and called GrubHub. They then called the restaurant and lo and behold we're told that they were speaking with Ming the owner who i wsd told was not there!! He refused to issue me a refund did not care that the food was not done correctly did not care about customer service did not care about how I was treated. Not sure if this was the manager pretending to be Ming or the manager just lied earlier telling me that the owner was not there and he didn't know who the owner was. Either way I would just like to let the public know that it is clear that they care nothing about the customer. when you're giving them compliments they are very nice. when you call and complain and let them know there's a problem they will treat you like dirt they care less that you chose to spend your money at their establishment when there's so many other places that you could have gone where you were actually appreciated. this to me is the grossest case of lack of customer service or appreciation for their customers they obviously do not care about their customers coming back or loyalty. shame I have been very loyal to them for quite a long time use them for many occasions and the one time I had an issue they showed just how little they care about their customers. beware they don't appreciate your business they act as if it's an honor for you to dine at their establishment. if there was an option to give them minus Stars I would have chosen - 5. they really need to be educated on customer service and...
Read moreJuly 20, 2025 Update. We haven’t been in a while and were disappointed in our recent take out (around 630-700pm on a Sunday night). The quality and seasonings for the Hibachi chicken were their usual high level. But they apparently ran out of chicken egg rolls, and the quantity of chicken on the main entree was drastically decreased while the rice filled 3/4 of the take-out box. The side order of chicken meat was about half of their usual container. The grilled/sautéed vegetables were overcooked and soft, almost mushy. I hope this is not the new normal for our primary Chinese/Japanese restaurant. Please return to your previous level of offerings! Unfortunately it may be a while before we try you again.
Previous: Pleasantly surprised in our search for our new go-to take out Chinese restaurant since we moved to Georgia last year. This restaurant has a foot in three separate worlds.. Japanese, Chinese, and Georgia (focus on wings). Their sauces on their Asian dishes reflected the blended origins and I liked their slightly modified Teriyaki sauce. We had two orders of the House Special Yakisoba Bowl which includes shrimp, chicken, beef and vegetables on top of noodles. I liked this dish a lot. The vegetables were cooked about right, not too mushy and not too raw. Shrimp and chicken were good for a fast food place. While reasonably tasty, the beef was a little tough. My preference when working with similar cuts of beef is to slice it thinner or even julienned and cooked quickly. The dish was cooked to medium well and next time I would order it medium. We order one order of Hibachi Chicken which came on a bed of rice instead of noodles. My wife liked the rice and I liked the noodles better, both were lightly to moderately flavored that balanced the items on top. We all had chicken egg rolls which were pretty good. We will try this place a couple of more times before it becomes our go-to, but it is our number one so far. I hope they can match this visit in the future.
By the way, the folks behind the counter where we paid and picked up were friendly and very pleasant on this trip. The counter area and eat-in areas were clean and decorated with an oriental theme without going...
Read moreCannot recommended anymore. I’ve patronized this restaurant over multiple years but I am done now. The last order we placed our hibachi meal did not include yum yum sauce which seems like a small thing but it’s not really hibachi for many people without the right sauce. Then on the most recent occasion I requested a half size sesame chicken which is how it is listed on the online menu. Not only were we up charged to a large instead, we were charged for vegetables which the online menu shows as a meal option without a charge. So instead of $8.75 we paid $12.75 and the worst part is the sesame chicken was mostly all breading, many pieces didn’t have any chicken inside or had dried out chicken inside instead of a plump moist piece of chicken (this is a quality issue with their frozen breaded chicken) and the veggies I was charged an extra $2 for were mushy (either overcooked or old) and drenched in teriyaki sauce which made for a horrible flavor combination with the sesame chicken sauce.
I know this is an express restaurant and therefore (well I am understanding this now) they don’t really customize or cook to order like a regular restaurant would, so I will stick to another place I can recommend for fast fairly inexpensive food - similar menu options - and that’s Michiru also on S. Cobb Dr. For sesame chicken and General Tsao Chicken the veggies should be steamed in no sauce as you use the sauce from...
