The wire from one of surround sound satellite speakers had been damaged and originally I was looking for a replacement speaker and I realized all I needed was either to buy a new speaker wire or have it repaired.

After having no luck on Amazon nor Ebay I decided to Google “speaker repair near me” and I found Northwest Speakers & Equipment. They were about 15 minutes from my house so the trip was a no-brainer. I had read some reviews so I gave it a shot.

When I walked in the door Mr. Ron Smith greeted me warmly and asked me how could he help me. I told him what happened to my speaker wire and he immediately went to work to repair it. Watching Ron work was like watching an artist as he pulled out his various tools of the trade and blended skill with art.

He spliced the wires together but the speaker didn’t work the first time when he tested it because the wire had more damage than could originally be seen. He knew what was wrong immediately and went into full concentration mode to repair the wire. He plug the speaker in for the second time and when the music came through he looked up at me and I had the biggest smile on my face.

Ive got my woof back !! Hello there , l needed to have my woofers re-surrounded the foamhad deteriorated and ctumbled as do with most foam surrounds. I udislly send them off to the cold north to get them done. Yhis time l decided to look closer, and l goind Northwest Speaker and Equipment in Smyrna Ga. I decided to go there and check them out. Met Ron the owner a very nice man and while I waited l took a mini tour of his establishment. It was stuffed with all sorts of goodies. When my turn came l handed over my 6" woofers for some muvh needed love. He have me a great price and l drove home with great expectations. Well sir The team delivered. I arranged to have my drivers shipped back my US mail today they came and l was impressed with their packing and finally workmanship. Took a speaker to be repaired. Was told by owner "don't call us, we'll call you" in regards to repair costs and when it will be ready. No estimate costs were provided up front. When I picked it up, I brought the other speaker with me to see how they sounded together. I didn't realize that the felt woofer cover fell off the one I brought with me. The employee quickly went and got a replacement and glued the felt disc on the woofer. Then after it's on tells me he's charging me $10 for it. $10 for felt, glue and a minute of his time. Didn't tell me before he glued it. That let me know I didn't want to do future business with anyone who would pull a stunt like that. $10 on top of the repair cost for an item they buy in bulk and I've seen them for $2 a pair.
