Today was the grand opening and ribbon cutting for S&S International Market located at 1982 Main Street in Snellville. I was greeted by owners Solomon and Alga, both very nice and welcoming. There was a nice sampling of popular Ethiopian dishes like Injera (Ethiopian flatbread), Gomen (garlic kale), Kik (curry split peas), Shiro (spicy chic pea stew) and other delicious samplings including sub sandwiches and a few desert items all made on site in the markets restaurant. There is a wonderfully decorated and cozy sitting area where coffee beans are roasted to serve the most delicious coffee I’ve had since my last trip to Africa. There is a small dining area and an energy and protein bar where you can order up their specialty juices. S&S International Market carries a nice variety of prepared foods, breads, samosas, spices, household goods, personal needs items and clothing. This was my first time eating Ethiopian food and it definitely won’t be my last now that this amazing market and restaurant is in the area. If in the area be sure to support this business by stopping in for a quick bite or cup of...

I’m on a personal mission to avoid plastic touching warm food (because, you know, science), so I can’t wait for a non-plastic packaging option. But let’s be real—until then, I’m coming back for more injera. No hesitation. Thanks for the amazing food and even...
