Came in on a weekday evening and the place was empty except for a table of employees. I attempted to ask the girl at the counter a few questions about the menu but she didn’t seem to understand my questions. Placed an order but wasn’t entirely sure what I would end up getting. Had to get a bottle of soda as they had a very limited drink selection, but more on that later. They had a separate room in the dining room that had some employee’s kids in it playing video games, which was a little annoying. Food came and it was ok but the lack of drinks will cause me to not return.
This location has been at least 5 different restaurants in the past 10 years, and all of them that failed had the same thing in common, lack of a drink selection. When people pay to go out to eat and dine in they want refillable drinks. This is the South so we like our brewed sweet tea (not the concentrate stuff), and Coke or other sodas from a fountain. When this was RiceBox they only had tea from concentrate and single-serving bottled drinks. Asian Max had the same selection. I ate at both of them once and did not return. I did not try the seafood restaurant that was here prior to Zoe’s but from photos on Google, it appears they only had bottled drinks too. If I recall the BBQ place had normal fountain drinks and I ate there many times. Get a proper drink selection and some employees who can discuss the menu and you will have more...
Read moreWe went out for Taco Tuesday to try a new spot that had a Taco Tuesday special. The place was clean and had good service. My daughter and I were visiting for the first time, but we found the food to be bland and lacking freshness. My daughter ordered tacos and shrimp cocktail, and I mentioned to my daughter that the meat didn’t taste freshly cooked. I tried three different types of tacos: asada, al pastor, and carnitas. While the tacos were quite bland, the carnitas had a bit more flavor, though it wasn’t enough to impress my taste buds. The salsa was neither hot nor mildly flavored; it lacked any taste at all, which is what enhances a taco.
When it came time to pay, the price displayed on the board was different from what we were charged. The cashier explained that the prices had changed, but they hadn’t updated the menu. I insisted that they should honor the prices listed on the menu, but she maintained that they couldn’t make that adjustment. Despite this, we decided to give the place a chance and ordered four more orders of tacos to go for the family. Unfortunately, the rest of the family shared the same about the lack of flavor.
Overall, we definitely won’t be returning; the experience simply didn’t entice us...
Read moreI've been going since they first opened and was hesitant to write a review when they were first available to do so. I was torn. I really wanted them to succeed as the food is delicious and the service is fast and it's close to my work for a quick taco lunch. But I didn't want them to get busy on account of their own success as I'm selfish. Anyways, the tacos are all I go for. For the more adventurous crowd its nice to have a place that offers lengua and tripa. I'm sure the rest is good too. As someone has said, it is pre made and flat top heated. But it's still fresh. Saw someone say lacked seasoning. mine never has. to the "there's not sauce" crowd. Turn around. The salsa/sauce bar that puts Moe's to complete shame is right behind you. Anyways, it's great to have an authentic street taco spot in the Snellville area because it had been lacking to say the least. If you go tacos, expect street taco style if you're not used to it. Corn tortillas (you can ask for flour), onions, and cilantro with your...
