My Secret Garden — Local services in Snellville

This is truly sad what has happened to this place. I have been coming here since I was a teenager to get flocked trees with my family. We always get 4-5ft small flocked trees and never spent over 190 for them. Today I went with my son to pick a tree and even the tiny 4ft flocked trees are 217.00. I wanted to speak to someone just to see why they went up in cost? I wasn’t angry just sad honestly. So they sent over a woman who is handling the tree area I guess. I explained I have been coming since I was a kid and just wanted to know why the price increases etc. She stated there is a new owner, but that she started working here last year. She bluntly states they never had a flocked tree under 200.00 and that my memory is wrong. I said I’ve been coming here every year for a flocked tree my memory is not mistaken. She very rudely says your memory is wrong but believe what you want, so do I want a tree or not? I mean how unbelievably ugly is that? I will not be back to this location and it’s very sad after years of tradition coming here. I would’ve been fine to pay that amount I just asked a question. That is not how you treat someone especially with their child with them and on Christmas shame on you.

UPDATE After the visit we initially had the owner Sonya contacted me. She is unbelievably kind and expressed understanding and remorse for the situation. I was absolutely taken back by how sweet, generous, and quick she was to make this right. My son was thrilled to get the tree he wanted and immediately wanted to go home and decorate. I did not expect it at all and it truly saved our Christmas. Thank you so much...

I, like so many others here that have commented, had very high hopes that My Secret Garden would pick up where Family Tree left off. I had been shopping this location when it was Pike’s and then Family Tree. I mostly plant Proven Winners annuals. I am so used to seeing a large, beautiful selection of Proven Winners annuals to choose from at competitive prices. Realistically, most can’t or are willing to pay $8.99 for one Proven Winners annual plant. Having just recently visited the garden center hoping to find a fresh selection of PW summer annuals to fill my containers with, I found leggy, overgrown plants some of which I recognized at the store grand opening a month ago that were still on display for full price. Hardly anyone is going to be purchasing these plants for $8.99. Also, when did you ever see a half price rack of Proven Winner annuals at Family Tree? You didn’t because they priced their PW annuals reasonably...

This is the best hidden gem! It may not be hidden, but I just found it! They have the most beautiful selection of plants, trees, shrubs and flowers. They have plants I have never heard of, and plants I have been searching for months! They host events for the public. They offer live music and even llamas!! There’s a train track that runs thru the middle and a big coy pond with fountains. Even if you don’t want any plants, you should go for the scenery itself. It’s literally like being in the Secret Garden. The staff is beyond wonderful. They are super helpful and so nice! There’s a gift shop with pretty jewelry and house plants and pottery and home and outdoor decor. I really can’t explain how great this place is....
