I want to start by saying that I am super bummed to be writing this review.
I brought in my wedding band on 10/10 to see about getting two peridot stones replaced because I was looking for a more intense green color. I was told by the front desk that this seemed very doable and shouldn’t be a problem and that they would call me with an estimate.
Ten days later on 10/20 I hadn’t heard anything, so I called the store. They were apologetic on the phone which I appreciated and said they would give me a call back in about thirty minutes. I got a call back about an hour later with the estimate for the job which I gave verbal approval for.
About an hour or so later that same day I called back to see about replacing two garnet stones in addition to the peridot stones because I figured that since the ring was already there, why not? They said it would be no problem and that they would call me back the next day with an updated estimate.
I never received a call with the updated estimate as promised. The next communication I received was on 10/27 to let me know that my ring was ready. I was a little confused because I was never given or approved an updated estimate, which I mentioned on this phone call, but I was excited to pickup and see my ring so I didn’t push back too hard.
I went to the store that same day to pick it up and I was…incredibly disappointed to say the least. The garnet stones were…okay? But the peridot stones they replaced my old stones with were nearly identical to the originals and most definitely were not a more intense green color. They said that due to the small size of the stones that it wasn’t possible to get a more intense color (which I understand isn’t in their control). My frustration really comes from the fact that they chose to move forward with replacing the stones anyway, rather than calling to inform me that the desired result wouldn’t be possible so I could make an informed decision to proceed with the job or not. If given the information and chance, I would have politely declined but unfortunately now I am left with a nearly identical ring as what I started with and I am out $200.
Overall just a very disappointing and...
Read moreI went to Robere's after seeing such great reviews. I was looking for a good local place to get my ears pierced and after Googling it, I found Robere's. Frist of all, the owner, Robere is the nicest and kindest person you'll ever meet! He was so friendly, warm, and welcoming as I walked in. I inquired about the pricing for the ear piercing and I thought while I was there, I would inquire about ring resizing for a ring that I bought slightly too large for me. His prices are incredibly affordable! He doesn't jack up his prices like other jewelers do! Robere told me they could resize the ring while I got my ears pierced! This was literally the FASTEST and BEST service I have ever received! Jonathan did my piercing for my second holes and he was to meticulous. He made sure my markings were perfect and that I was happy with them. The piercing was done in an instant with a piercing gun. I had even brought in another pair of earrings for my fist holes, which I was having difficulty getting into my ears and Jonathan very kindly worked his magic to get them on for me! He was so kind, gentle, and professional! By the time my ears were pierced, I only had to wait a couple more minutes for my ring! My ring resizing took less than an hour! Plus, the ring looked gorgeous and fit perfectly! Robere made sure to measure my finger size so, the ring would fit perfectly but was still easy to remove when I wanted to. The finished ring looked even better than when it came in! I have often heard that rings aren't as strong when they've been resized but I honestly, think the ring felt sturdier. Honestly, I can't say enough great things about the customer service and the people there. The price for their work is fantastic and I will be a long time customer! I can't recommend...
Read moreI was horribly misled in my interaction with this business. Three days after getting my girlfriend's ring resized and cleaned at Robere's, one of the stones fell out. I went back to Robere's and they told me four of the prongs were gone. (If it was so obvious in the first place, why hadn't they noticed when they were doing the cleaning?). Anyway, I'm non-confrontational and the woman who worked there told me that they'd offer me a special price -- just the cost of labor -- $30. They gave me the carbon-copy of the receipt. When I came back to pick up the ring, that same woman charged $50! When I asked her about this, she went to the back room and brought the original receipt back -- which now showed a 50 written in black ink, over the original 30 written in blue ink. The rest of the receipt was clearly written in blue ink. When I brought up that the ink color was different and it was written over, she said, "what do you think we are?" and I told her I wasn't trying to insult her. She took my carbon copy and then wrote over the 30 and put 50. It is horribly humiliating to have to defend yourself in front of your girlfriend as well as other people in the store.
This was a horrible experience and I can not believe that this business, located in such a developed and well-off community, could stoop so low. Spare yourself the frustration and shady, crap service and go elsewhere. I am never going to this...
