Starbucks — Restaurant in Solana Beach

Edit2 08/31/23 - WARNING, Do not go here if you are a POC. Called today and was told the case was "closed" with no explanation, then hung up on. Edit 08/29/23: called per "owners" request below, made a case and was told I would hear back from a district manager within 48 hours. This was done 08/21/23 and I have not had ANY follow up. Silence speaks volumes Today was the worst experience I have had at a Starbucks. We visit THIS store almost every weekend after a bike ride. Between drinks and food my party of three spent about $30. Like normal, I went to refill my iced tea part way thru - we had been sitting at the outside patio so I came in thru the door for the refill. "Melody" heard me order a refill and felt inclined to chime in that they could only do it for same store same visit. I pointed out how my party had been outside( and frankly should have been memorable as I was with 2 blind stokers). She mentioned they are enforcing the "rule" more then decided that the "face" I made was offensive which she stated under her breath. I don't normal go to this, but felt I was clearly being racially profiled. Somebody needs additional training...

While shopping in Solana Beach Towne Centre, we stopped at the Starbucks for a coffee break. There were four of us, and two members of our group, who shall remain nameless, are very particular about their coffee drinks—seriously particular! The young man taking our orders was incredibly patient, and a smile never left his face. He carefully listened to all our questions and answered each one with a genuine smile. We ended up praising him for his wonderful customer service.

Our coffee drinks were delivered exactly as we had requested, and we had a fantastic time sitting there, chatting, and enjoying our beverages. This Starbucks location offers a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after shopping. Its convenient location in the Solana Beach Towne Centre makes it an ideal spot for a coffee break. This is hands down one of the MOST WELL RUN, and exceptional Starbucks locations and experience, that I have encountered in years, and this is coming from a former Starbucks Store Manager. The team - everyone is upbeat, friendly, warm and inviting. They learn your name and face, and greet you with enthusiasm. They genuinely care that your experience meets or exceeds your expectations. I’m unsure if Matt is the Store Manager, he carries himself as such, and I am beyond impressed by his commitment to excellence every time I’m here. He leads by example, he ensures the cafe is always clean and inviting, he knows his customers by name, he supports and directs the team with respect and a high level of effectiveness.
