Grocery Outlet — Local services in Soledad

3/23/2024 around 8pm I went to Buy some items I seen the grapes for $ 4.99 decided to get two bags I got around 20 other items around the store got in line to pay when I got to register I noticed that that grapes were scanned for $8.99. Each bag I told the cashier that the grapes were for $ 4.99 and she said it’s a pound and I told her come with me to see the sign She went and seen the sign and said true tgey are $4.99 a bag another employee came along and she said they’re not for $4.99 a bag I walked in front of her to show her the sign that was across the cash register when she started walking behind me snapping her fingers that was very annoying. She seen the price and she said oh well we did a mistake she tells me they are $4.99 the Libra I looked at her and told her I’m not taking none of my items I’m not sure if the price is correct in the other items that I got, I just walked out of the store left all the items there, The other people behind me waiting in line told me good for standing up They should start marking the right prices They always make this kind of mistake. Bought a cooking pan that was said to be for frying chicken , used it the same day I bought to cook foster farm chicken strips also from grocery outlet .

The 1st time I used it on that same day the pan burn from the bottom . I kept my receipt to go back and return and exchange it for something else .

When I went back to grocery outlet I explained to the employee what happens and she asked for my receipt , she said she would talk to management to wait for them to let me know what they could do . The owners went into the office with another employee and came out but the whole time they didn’t tell me anything which was went I went told the employee that no one had spoken to me to let me know if I could return it and exchange it , and all she said was they were looking for you but you moved and I said I didn’t moved from where you told me that’s why I came to ask if I was getting a refund or exchange and she told me they said no sorry .

So just a head up when buying keep in mind even if you have a receipt that means nothing if they don’t want to...

Big fan of Grocery Outlet, but this location is awful. I went in to get a soda and a snack. Saw a pack of ramen priced at 2 bucks, when I got up to the register they tried to charge me 9 bucks, I showed the posted price to the cashier and asked to speak to a manager. A Caucasian lady came to the register, confident they would help me out, I explained the situation. Once again, keep in mind, it's a pack of RAMEN. The lady proceeded to rip up the price tag in front of me, tell me it was a mistake, and stated they were the OWNER, so tough luck. I was so taken a back I said, thank you and walked across the street to Foods Co. I just happened to be working in Soledad today, and once again, I love Grocery Outlet, I travel for work, so I visit them from the Bay Area to the Monterey Peninsula.
