Most disgustingly unprofessional salon Iāve ever been to. Unfortunately I left very unhappy. Not sure what the name of the nail tech I had is but her booth is right next to the register. I booked an appt for for 3:30 and who ever I spoke with on the phone had a bad attitude. Acted annoyed by me asking questions. Also she didnāt asked anything about the set (length, design etc) I came in and showed her a picture of the set I wanted she said she wasnāt able to do it so I chose a different one. The set was a half French half white line design with gems. She confirmed she was able to do it before she started doing any work. I had to critique her through shaping and filing the nails bc some were crooked and she seemed annoyed by that. 5 pm hits and she tells me she isnāt able to do the design and gems bc her next appt was already here. Like I didnāt have an appt as well. She told me that if I wanted that design that I would have to wait an hour for her to continue. I asked her why she would agree to the set I picked if she knew she didnāt have enough time. She then said she thought all I wanted was the french. But it makes no sense how she came to that conclusion when I showed her an exact picture of what I wanted and it was not an all french set. I told her I donāt mind if someone else finishes it for you but I have somewhere to go tonight. On top of that I ubered so I would either have to waste more hours in the salon or waste money coming there and back again bc she couldnāt finish in time. She said āhoney either be ok with just french or wait an hour but there is nothing I can doā Itās completely unprofessional to not fully finish the client in the chair before taking the next. We both made appts and should be respected for our time and money. Brings me to the fact that after all this she charged me $88 dollars for a basic French set. I wouldāve had no issues paying that price or even more for what I had asked for but not this+ the bad experience. It is not the clients fault or business that you did not get scheduled correctly. I expressed my issues to her again and how this was not $88 work and she didnāt even give me what I wanted she then starts to argue with me trying to explain the price but even what she was saying wasnāt adding up to the price I was charged with. I then asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. I then asked for a compromise because this is not okay with me. She then told me that she ādidnāt have time for thisā then left the counter and went to her client in the middle of me talking nobody else came to address the situation with me. I left very upset and called the salon 30 minutes later. Someone answers and I explain the situation once again with no response the person who answered just gives the phone to the girl who did my nails. I explained my frustration and she had the audacity to get loud with me and tell me that I was frustrating her and again that she didnāt have time for this if I want the design to just come back in an hour then hung up. Like I already said I didnāt have time because had had an event to attend. I called back 2 days later (bc I work all weekend) and they told me that if I wanted that design I had to wait till Thursday bc nobody else can finish her work and that I would have to pay more for her to finish it as well after I already paid $88 for unfinished nails. This was the most disgustingly unprofessional place Iāve ever gotten a service at. I work retail and am a freelance makeup artist and hairstylist and I wouldāve never allowed this to happen to one of my clients. I donāt recommend this place to anyone. The treatment and service I received was not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to this salon just to get a basic manicure with polish, no gel, nothing fancy, and to get my eyebrows cleaned up. My cuticles were looking horrible, so I just needed a good basic manicure. The female tech that did my nails did not want to do my eyebrows, she pointed to another female tech, that tech stated, "we both do eyebrows". That should have been a red flag for me to turn around and walk out the door. I got may nails done and was placed in front of a small fan to allow my nails to dry. After about ten minutes I was told I was good to go. While opening my car door to leave, my nails were immediately smudged. I returned back inside and was told by a male tech, the tech should have allowed me to sit a little longer. The young man tried to fix the problem, but unfortunately he made it worst. All he did was wipe away the polish and added more polish. Now it was uneven and way to thick. He should removed the polish and started fresh. Keep in mind all I wanted was a basic manicure to clean up my nail area, nothing special. This time I was placed at a drying station which is what i'm familiar with, and should have been placed there by the female tech. I was not spending my entire afternoon going back and forth. I called the next morning, which was Sunday, and spoke to a Cindy who kept saying she does not guarantee work once you go home. I then had to keep repeating , I did not go home, I went to my car and my nails were smudged. I told her I was not able to return until Monday, due the Cancer walk I was attending that day. I returned on Monday to find Cindy was not in, but a female tech was aware of the problem, because she was the tech that did my eyebrows. She took off the nail polish, but never had me wash my hands after removing the polish prior to applying new polish. I also failed to mention, not once did anyone apply lotion to my hands. I was telling the nail tech on Monday the last few times I got my nails done while in Arizona and I have never had a problem. I told her the nail polish would last me at least 2 weeks. She stated the weather is warmer in Arizona and the weather here is different, plus it was raining on Saturday, so therefore that's probably why my nails smudged. I of course chuckled to myself because I was born and raised here in New Jersey and I always get a basic manicure with polish and I have never, ever had a problem with my nails smudging even in New Jersey. No one at the nail salon ever apologized for the lack of service I received, or for me being inconvenience. So needless to say I will Never, Ever return to this nail salon. It was a waste of my time and my hard earned money. All this wasted time just for a basic manicure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to JL Pedi Spa & Nails on my birthday, 12 /2. I had a 10:00AM appointment for a pedicure. After I signed in and had my temperature checked; the receptionist named two technicians who haven't arrived yet. I told her that I don't know which technician I was scheduled with, but I would go with whoever is available. During my pedicure, I had to ask the technician three times to add hot water. I've never had to do that at any salon. Although there were shields at every pedicure station; I didn't like when a new customer was seated at the sink right next to me. Because of COVID 19 and there were 4 other open stations. Since I was just waiting for my toes to be polished; I didn't press the issue. After my pedicure was done, I started to walk to the rear of the shop to sit at the dryer. The technician said, " It's closed due to COVID." I wasn't happy about that because I wanted to dry my toes. So the receptionist relays the message again about why the drying station was closed. I told her that there should be a sign posted at the entrance of the shop that only gel manicures &pedicures are available. Because had I known that I would've gone to another nail salon or just asked for a gel pedicure. The receptionist started acting rude, then I reminded her that even with the shields up at the pedicure stations, they're not following social distancing by sitting a customer right next to me. From now on I will go to a nail salon that can provide the service...
