It's a nice little lake. I'd manage your expectations if you're fishing there. I kayak fished this lake and caught decent sized bass all the way at the back of the lake where there's a little inlet. My fish finder did not find any spots deeper than 2.5' and in late July the water temps were high at about 82° in the early morning. The back part of the lake had some cooler temps. Lots of algae.    Read moreLong skinny lake with LOTS of large painter turtles. Towards the terminal end you can cross a small dam and find the home of a coypu (sort of like a beaver but with a rat tail). Didn't try fishing it yet. Noise level is a bit high with the train station so close, but it's nice to have some kind of nearby waterhole.
