I have heard a lot of complaints about this store. Don’t that much had been getting some stuff for my son for football. I went over and checked the knives out. I bought a knife and A set of blades I remember asking where it is a knife can I bring it back? If I don’t like it but it looks like the one that I had before that I loved two different people one in the gun department, where the knife was picked up at then at the checkout said the same thing. Yes, just keep your receipt. Well, I had my receipt within the timeline and everything else the know was only opened, not even used. I opened the knife to see how it fit in my hand. It was too small. That’s why I wanted my money back. I did not open the blades because I was not keeping the knife. I tried to get my money back. They called for the Assistant GM to make sure they can give me my money back. He said no because once it’s open, they cannot resell. It didn’t make sense to me because the other ones had told me yes I could bring it back as long as I had my receipt then he had enough nerve to put on like he was not gonna give me my money back for the blades. You said as long as it had not been open and within the timeline A return can be made you offered to exchange the knife, but I don’t want a return because I did not want the knife. It was too small. He said so why are you returning the blades? I replied it’s not open so please give me my money back. I do not have to answer...
Read moreI attempted to return a pair of shoes today. Tags on, still in packaging, brand new - obviously. Was told by male cashier that they wouldn’t look up transaction even though I knew exact date & time of the purchase. He said “that would be too much work & my manager said he isn’t going to do that.” Never offered for me to exchange them or get store credit. Another male associate yelled at me from across the store & told me to look at my bank transactions, I paid in cash, I can’t do that. I left the store after asking them “so, you’re saying you will not help me.” He then asked if I wanted to speak to store manager. I politely said no, I don’t think that would do any good considering he’s already told me what his store manager was willing to do to assist the customers that come in & need help returning an item. I even asked if they could look up transaction by item number or UPC, he adamantly said no - that was too much work. They HAD to have exact amount. So when I told him I was 99% sure the shoes were all I bought, he then said “well you’re just guessing & we’re not going to do that.” I’m just really shocked that they didn’t even offer any type of solution, just kept telling me all of the things they couldn’t do for me. Maybe it was because I was a woman, that sure the way they...
Read moreAfter reading some of these reviews, makes me feel a little better that I wasn't the only 1 to have a frustrating issue with this place. 10/31/25. Went to check on a handgun that I had seen there a few weeks ago. Early morning, very few customers, employees not busy. 2 standing at the front register, talking about Halloween plans. After waiting apx, 5-10min. I politely asked if someone was working at the firearms Dept. 1 female snapped, well do you need something? I asked about the gun. And also asked what IDs they needed to sale and how long it takes. Since I have never bought 1 from Dunhams. Immediately, she raised her voice and started saying I can't sell this to you if it's for somebody else. I said I understood. But, I am buying it. I'm the purchaser. Why did I want that 1? I proceeded to tell her me and My hubby had seen it a few weeks ago. And we both liked it. By this time another customer was standing there. And she's yelling at me about the straw purchase law!!! I understand there's strict policies on firearms. An I understand the reason for it....
