El Charro Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Somerset

This place sure likes to rip off customers. I had a plate called Parillada. I've had this plate many times at different el charros. But the one here in Somerset, KY the plate was awful! I sent the plate back and only ate the rice and beans which was in a separate plate. The server was so nice and tried to accommodate me the best he could but a man passed my table gave me a dirty ugly look i just ignored it. As we were leaving I saw they still charged me 12.99 for a plate I did not eat, I told them to call manager well it turns out the man who gave a me dirty looks was the manager he did not take the 12.99 off the bill! I told him I would pay for what my family ate and the rice and beans that I had but not the disgusting plate I sent back. He said no and threatened to call the police if I did not pay the 12.99! So i ended up paying for a plate i did not eat. I would have given this place another chance because my family enjoyed it but now we are never going back. The plate was suppose to be sizzling it wasn't, the onions and peppers was hard not cooked right, the chicken was hard, the steak look like it had been sitting there for a while! Terrible management, guess he was mad I didn't enjoy...

Me and my family hadn’t been there for a while and we went there today and we waiting 45 min before we even had a waiter come ask anything then another hour after we got our food and after we got our food my mother goes to take a bite of her chimichanga and it wasn’t even edible all she ate was her beans and she told up at the register and they didn’t take anything off and just pretty much blew her off .And one of the waiters in front of a whole room of people was told by a customer his food was not fully cooked and he said “ well what to you want me to do with it then !” Then the customer nicely said can you take it back and the waiter snatched the plate and went and threw it in the back and it jumpscared everyone in the room to the point it made people around us say they were never coming back. And we probably won’t be back after waiting for almost 2 hours for food and my mother paying...

Their Food is Good but the Salsa is disgusting, its like tomato juice with parsley in it (it sure isn't cilantro cause cilantro is very flavorful, you cant taste it in it at all so from what it taste like to me is parsley), it has no peppers, no cilantro, no onion, no normal salsa ingredients, no flavor at all, it doesn't even have a salsa consistency what-so-ever! If you ask for hot salsa they bring you out a bowl of hot sauce mixed in the tomato juice concoction yuck! Need to work on the salsa you serve with chips its awful, its not even salsa! They do however have great guacamole and Pico De Gallo, their food is ok, ive had better but when it comes to going to this style of Mexican restaurant I expect a good salsa to go with my food! Maybe see if Wasabi Express (Mexican, Japanese, and Sushi all in one restaurant) up the road can help ya with your salsa they got...
