Hall's Pawn Shop — Local services in Somerset

Have bought a lot from Halls, have always dealt with the gentleman and have never had an issue. However, col weeks ago I bought a computer for 60$. It was an older computer, it had windows 7 on it which was what I had been looking for. I needed windows 7 b/c the design program I use works best with it. The lady that works there told me everything works on it (they'd tested it) but the battery wouldn't hold charge you had to have it plugged in all the time. This wasn't an issue with me. I get home and I can't get it to find my wifi or my ethernet. Take it bk to Halls, same lady said o problem she'd get their computer guy to look at it. Today I check on my computer and she tells me he fixed it and that I owe 25$. Huh? I didn't give permission for anything, it was never said that I had to pay for a repair, when it wasn't supposed to be broken in the 1st place. I don't have 25$ plus the computer isn't worth 85$. An 85$, no battery, old computer that now has been also upgraded to windows 10 was not what I was looking for. So I asked for a refund sence the lady said they wouldn't pay for the repairs. She says no to the refund also. She is keeping my computer so she can uninstall everything the computer guy installed. So Monday I get to pick up a computer that's battery is bad, its internet drivers are bad and it won't have an operating system! Add in the fact the lady copped A smartaz additude with me, I give Halls a negative 5 stars. I will never spend another dime at that place. It's a shame that Halls has fell so far, it used to be the best place to go for power tools and dirt dirtbike gear but I'm not dealing...

Only giving 1 star bc i had to. I've pawned there previously and always picked my Stuff back up and everything. I walked in there the other day with over $1000 worth of merchandise (Xbox game console, the 1tb, a $300 headset, 2 wireless controllers with silicone covers and a charging base for everything as well) she made it very clear from the beginning that I was interrupting her and that I was a nuisance to her. So well over$1000 and up to date equipment, not outdated stuff, and she told me she could only do $100, for $1000 worth of merchandise. She never even bothers to pull up my account or anything And as we're still talking (no one was upset or anything either) she turns her back to me and walks away. We were simply talking, trying to negotiate like normal, but I guess she didn't have time for that. I'll never go there again And neither will Anyone in my family and I'll tell everyone I talk to from now on not to do business there, besides she clearly has enough money now that ur business doesn't matter. Go where your appreciated and won't be insulted for no reason other than walking through the door. On the other hand if u like rude people that insult u and blow up off, and if u only want 10%of your items value, then this is the place for...

Guy that runs this place is a jerk ! He is selling silver for 45$ ounce spot is 23.16 I can understand making money I asked him why they were 10-20$ higher than everyone else he said he doesn’t have to sell it well bud I guess you will keep it !
