Soul Trip — Local services in Somerville

I left work early in need of sage to burn in my new apartment. Crystals and a few more items as well. Decided that this store was the most convenient between work and my commute back home. After circling the parking lot, paying for parking and walked in the rain I arrived to an empty store with the exception of 2 employees that were at the cash register, talking about someone named “Jess” who is changing their hours instead of acknowledging THE ONLY CUSTOMER, that was present. After almost 5 minutes of walking around, I looked at both of them and smiled thinking maybe I should initiate the conversation but instead they continued talking to each other. I left and neither employee was concerned with who I was or what my needs were. Not sure if it was a racial thing. I am a black woman. But, I would not recommend buying sage, crystals, candles, or anything to bring positivity into your life because the store is definitely filled with negative beings and needs to...

I stumbled in here a few nights ago trying to shop and have a good time with some friends when we were rudely ignored by the young girl behind the register while she was to busy watching videos on her phone to even acknowledge us. On top of that everything was also incredible my expensive, as I have seen the same items for much less in many other shops. It’s a small business so higher pricing can be forgivable but that coupled with a rude employee was unforgivable. I will never be going back to this place. I’ll stick to my favorite more affordable shops...

I’ve followed Soul Trip on Social Media for months wanting to stop by to see how the place would be. I can’t stress how amazing the staff was once I walked in their doors. Both encounters were great and very informative to any questions I had about my purchases. I felt so at home. Knowing there’s a place that I feel welcomed to and open to learn from is very refreshing as a customer. I recommend all to stop by!
