The atmosphere of the inside of the store is a bit tacky and cheap looking. However, their vegan and regular ice creams are some of the best I've had, and the fruit bowls are SO filling and delicious, all while being reasonably priced. I've heard wonderful things about the food, especially the famous grilled cheese... I have yet to try the food. But I'm gonna give it the benefit of the doubt. The worst thing in their menu is their smoothies... so awful. They all sound so delicious. But there far from it. Each time I've gotten a smoothie from this place... it's been the WATERIEST "smoothie" I have ever had. Its also..frothy?? Gross. Every kind I've tried has tasted like water..with a hint of stale sourness. Not good at all. I have a feeling they use like fruit purees and ice and MAYBE the occasional fruit juice in their smoothies. (You guys clearly have access to ice cream..why not introduce frozen yogurt) Heres a tip: instead of using ice in the smoothies (makes it watery and tasteless...). Use either a vanilla fro-yo. Or a strawberry frozen yogurt as the base of your smoothie. And then you can use like fresh fruit or fruit in that syrup stuff and fruit juices for additional flavour. The frozen yogurt will make a WORLD of a difference in your smoothies. Because right now... they are god awful. The last time I got a smoothie from this place I literally took maybe 3 sips before just wanting to throw it out. So I gave it back to them and told them that it was nearly flavourles . And the flavour it did have was nasty and disappointing. Overall though, this place is great. Just stay AWAY from the smoothies. They're gross. Unless/until they change how the recipe for their smoothies...I...

Best of the best. I’ve tried many acai bowls and let’s just say you get what you pay for. I’ve not once found a place that uses the actual acai and dragon fruit until now. These superfoods are very high in antioxidants are very rare to find and can cost up to $6-8 for just one fruit. Acai is only good for about 24 hours so most competitors will get theirs from a pouch or powder which also has added sugars and basically you’re not getting the fruit in it’s natural form. Cant stand when other places add apple juice and other juices to the base. But that won’t happen here. If you’re looking for the healthiest, freshest, organic, most delicious, no added sugar/juices etc. hand chopped fruit, made to perfection, this place has you covered. Let’s not forget about presentation! The bowls always look stunning, mouth watering, filling, and you can tell they’re made with love. The owners are great people who have passion in what they do and I’m like a feen who buys about 4 a week. If you’ve been to other places you’d be able to taste the difference right away from what is fresh and what’s not. They also have fresh young coconut water that you can drink straight from the coconut with a straw, (yum) desserts and drinks all made fresh as well. I recommend this place to everyone. It’s been a tradition for my family and I to come to Somerville on Friday and Saturday nights in the summer for Classic Cars and Music and ever since discovering this place last year, a stop into Fresh Tiki Bar for ice cream has now become a MUST on the list of places we need to hit! The Fresh Baked Waffle Sandwich is TO DIE FOR!! They bake up fresh waffles on the fly, they don’t microwave or toast eggo waffles, NO NO NO! Everything is fresh baked!! The flavor on the waffle is amazing- it’s buttery and cinnamon-y. It’s literal PERFECTION! And you can choose your ice cream flavor. The Warm Brownie Sundaes are another one of our favorites! This year they have something new to the menu they call it a Brownie Split- It’s like a Banana Split but it’s got warm brownies in the place where bananas would go- which is like MIND BLOWING! Then they top with THREE SCOOPS of ice cream, and a ton of toppings. We started coming here once they were voted best in the USA and they are absolutely the best! No place like it, and no place tops it! Amazing Owners as well! This place slaps!!!! Side Note- they have an adorable indoor area as well as a great outdoor area to eat while enjoying the live music on...
