TESSUTO MENS CLOTHING STORE. — Local services in Somerville

The store “lost” my measurements, told the groom everyone’s suits would be in Monday on the week of the wedding (which was out of state). Everyone’s came in, mine was not there and was told it would be in the next day at noon. Tuesday comes and my suit is not there, they told the groom they lost my measurements and asked to send a picture of myself. I asked how they could measure off that and he said “bro we’re professionals”, I sent them a picture along with whatever measurements I could remember and it was overnighted to my place in Boston. Nothing fit correctly, pants were too short, jacket was too tight and sleeves were too short, and the vest wouldn’t even button. Store didn’t respond until mid day the next day when I was leaving to head to VT and told me to find a tailor to let out the hem in the pants and they would overnight a new vest to the resort. Long story short, they never sent me tracking info until 2pm the next day (wedding day) and instead of sending it first priority it didn’t arrive until 8pm and then wedding started at 5. I had to let out my own pants and hem/press them since there was no tailor in the VT mountains, had no vest to match the rest of the wedding party and couldn’t keep the jacket buttoned. Store refused to refund anything further than $20 for the vest, that’s not Customer recovery especially when the groom was referred this company by 2 of his groomsmen who also used them. Horrible customer service if you can even...

New customer. I rarely leave reviews for anything but felt I needed to. Gotta give credit when it’s due. Especially when every aspect of a purchase or in my case, a suit rental, was exceptional. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere at Tessuto was comfortable and pleasant. Their showroom was well put together, organized and very clean. They offer quality clothing including suits, shoes, shirts etc.. for any occasion. The tux/suit rental section next door was just as nice and a comfortable space to be in. Once inside, you’re immediately greeted as if you’re their number one customer. Jordan, Ashley and Kyle were very friendly and helpful. Their professionalism and knowledge about their products shows. Even though I was only renting a suit, they went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and the suit I rented looked and felt perfect on me. It wasn’t just a, here’s your suit and off you go experience. I’ve rented suits and tuxedos from other places in the past and the difference in quality, selection and overall customer experience was impressive. I received many compliments on my suit at the event I attended and gave all the credit to the guys at Tessuto. I’m sure they’ll be receiving some more new customers. was fortunate to have found Kyle and the team at Tessuto for my daughter's wedding! I wanted to work with an experienced and well stocked Mens Store that wasn't a Mall chain where I could have the time and attention needed. I am a larger size (48-50) and they have an extensive inventory and provided me excellent options for my Tuxedo and accessories.

I came thinking I would have to purchase a custom made Tuxedo but after consulting with Kyle he recommended simply purchasing a premium shirt (again, he had several to select from) , shoes and bowtie. He then arranged a premium rental. I appreciated his approach as I really have no need to own a Tuxedo and this saved me $600-800.

I really valued being professionally measured and having the shirt altered to best fit me as well as knowing that the rental was being properly specified. I also wanted to work with a shop that had an expert tailor on staff, (most tuxedo rental storefronts rely on a centralized distribution center for any alterations). Despite Kyle's expert measuring the Tuxedo required alterations and Tessuto's tailor took care of everything while I waited!

Events can be stressful, and having a family owned. well stocked Mens Store with expert staff and on0site tailor made preparing for my daughter's wedding day a pleasure... I highly recommend Tessuto and will shop there for my other high-end wardrobe...
