I can't even begin to describe how wonderful this establishment and the owners are. I first found out about Carols back in 2013 and upon walking in was greeted in a friendly manner, and informed (not pushy selling like most shops) about all the flavors and ways they are made. As I spoke with Carol, her passion for her craft shone through with every word and explanation. As someone who has worked fine dining most of their life, I can tell you that this is the mark of a true culinary creative. A product is only as good as the love put into it, and each chocolate is crafted with care and love that you can taste. My only downside is that Im allergic to peanuts, so I cant say I've tried EVERYTHING there but Im darn near close! Ive had had chocolate from all over the world, and have paid crazy prices as well, but to be able to have a QUALITY product right in your own backyard is a blessing in disguise. Forget all those other commercial chocolatiers (Godiva and Lindt...blegh) and go try the real thing. The pricing is beyond fair, and once you try it, you'll know why women make that face they do when they eat a good piece of chocolate!
A big thank you to all the folk at Carol's for making my Valentines day a little less stressful. (If I don't come home with a box, I might as well not come...
Read moreReally excellent chocolates! I discovered Carol's a few years ago and with the help of one of her amazing staff members (don't remember his name), took home a selection of different things, milk and dark, that he thought I might like. I liked them ALL! The staff member thoroughly explained the sources of chocolate and how the source affects flavor which was quite fascinating. Also, there were examples of the unusual beautiful creations that gives Carol's Creative Chocolates their name (you have to see these!) Anyway, we moved shortly after and so I didn't visit again untilI just a few days ago, in a bit of a hurry and under COVID-19 restrictions and called in an order of just a few days plain dark chocolate squares. The helpful staff member brought the chocolates out to our car! And they were just as delicious as always!! Not too sweet, and with a full satisfying flavor! Someday I'd like to go to one of their events, I think they used to have wine and chocolate tastings before COVID-19! P.S. Only one thing, I'm looking more and more for fair trade chocolate, forgot to ask if they can move...
Read moreSome family members were visiting from out of town, and we came here for a wine and chocolate tasting / pairing. We called in advance and they bought 2 bottles of well-pairing wine (very good wines) out of courtesy that were there when we arrived. Tony, our primary chocolate coach, taught us so much about where chocolate originated, how it's made, and how flavors are manipulated. We sampled both milk and dark chocolates (more than I can count) and he explained each and every one of them. Seriously, it's insane how much this guy knows about chocolate. And he's happy to answer any of your questions -- no matter how silly or uneducated. We were there for over an hour and a half and we never got bored. I actually was full by the time we left and we were very happy to buy about 25 piece of chocolate on the way out.
All in all, the product is extraordinary and is only outdone by the kindness, knowledge, and attention...
