I will not be coming back to this store during COVID-19. If you are nervous about going out during this pandemic, avoid this grocery store. They are not taking this seriously.
Only a few employees were wearing masks correctly. Many had their masks covering only their mouth, some had them down to their chin, and a few werenât wearing masks at all.
The only signage for social distancing was at checkout. A few weeks ago, they designated one end of the store as âEntrance Onlyâ & the other âExit Only.â I did not see those signs anywhere tonight.
This location is not following Food Lionâs own policies. According to their website, âWe continue to follow guidance from local, state and national health authorities including the CDC. For the health and safety of our associates and customers, Food Lion will continue having our associates wear masks while working.â
Lexington county has a mask mandate, effective beginning on July 2nd I believe. This is crazy & unacceptable. Itâs one thing not to enforce the mandate on customers (not going to go there in this review), but really? I was going to speak to the manager before I left the store, but given how many employees had âmask violations,â I figured the manager on duty had no issues with it.
Also, the guy by the carts? You know the one who is suppose to be disinfecting? He was wearing no mask and was joking around with...
Read moreEvery time I go to the deli section the guy with glasses and the girl with short black hair stare at me, act like they are busy, then talk and laugh with eachother until one of them gets up enough courage to assist me. I have been told by other people who shop there that they do the same thing with them as well. I don't know if they are competing on whose turn it is or what but I should not have to watch paid employees ignore me because I can't cut the sandwich meat myself or else I would because I would probably get it done quicker. Today when I went they did the same thing and the girl walked up to the counter and just stared at me so I asked how she was doing and said hello. She did not respond and acted bothered. I was on the phone with a friend of mine and she acted irritated by that but I watched her and her coworker friend ignore me while I patiently waited so I'm not ending my conversation when they decide to do their job but I was cordial. The only worker I have dealt with who does a great job there is a blond girl who is always nice to me and my family when we need assistance other than that I think they should be retrained on customer service and how to conduct themselves in a place of business because I will spend my money elsewhere that I...
Read moreFood Lion in South Congree SC. Went in about 6:30-7pm. First noticed no marker showing what was on aisle 3. Asked a young male employee who was headed for his break where the dry roasted peanuts were. He not only told me where they were, but took me to them. Very kind. Went to check out. The lane I was in (3rd in line, other only open lane was longer) seemed to be having a problem checking out a young man who had some kind of coupon or letter. He was being waited on by 2 cashiers (a trainee being by someone who didn't seem to know what to do). After waiting about 10-15 minutes, with no explanation as to what was going on, while customer in the other lane were being serviced (its que was about 6 deep) an office woman came out and opened a 3rd lane; but quickly closed it after 2 of us got thru. Haven't shopped there in a long time and I have no plans to go back to THAT Food...
