This vape shop really impressed me. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming with clean and well-organized shelves, a wide selection of products, and a relaxed vibe that made me feel comfortable. The guy at the counter was outstanding. I came in looking for something specific, and instead of just pointing me in a direction or trying to push extras, he actually listened. He asked a couple of quick questions, understood exactly what I needed, and got me set up without any hassle.

What made it even better was his knowledge. He clearly knew the products inside and out and could explain the differences in devices, juices, and accessories in a way that actually made sense. It wasn’t just surface-level info, he gave me confidence that I was walking out with the right choice. On top of that, the prices were very fair for the quality I was getting.

It is rare to leave a vape shop and feel like the experience itself deserves a review, but this one does. The customer service, product selection, and overall vibe make it stand out. New to vaping, I chose Uncle Stu's based on the reviews. I asked for some helpful advice but got none. Just the opposite. The only thing guy showed me was the one and only vape I have tried. The Posh 2.0.

He was not busy. I was the only customer in the store. One customer came in I said to take care of him which he did and the guy was gone in minutes.

He did give me a good price so that is why 2 stars. When I realized he had sold me a blueberry and a strawberry I said that is not what I wanted and asked to exchange them. He said, "you asked for 4 different flavors". I had not. (I was okay with the Mint Ice since I expect that to be close to Spearmint). He refused to exchange them. I then said forget everything and give me my money back. He refused. I had not even left the store.

I just wanted the Posh 2.0 spearmint menthol; two with nicotine and two without. (Again, I was originally interested in hearing about different vaping options but gave up on that as it was clear he wasn't going to do that.)

With all of the vape stores out there, I do not recommend patronizing a store with such a rude, unhelpful employee.

The south Elgin location and Carol stream location is just a disaster… it was really sad to see the 4 amazing employees leave Carol stream(tanner, Logan, will and Mikey) and then Mikey ended up at the south Elgin and it was alright for a bit and all the employees were really good there for a bit and then they started leaving because the owner & “manager” (stu & Chris) started trying to force them to travel an extra 30-40 minutes to work at other locations while getting pay cuts and less hours. The shops are becoming a joke and are no longer wanting to work with the customers and are making it very clear that the employees are extremely replaceable… it’s truly sad because these shops used to feel like home to me and many others but it is no longer worth going. Feels very tense and unhappy now. I hate to see these 2 locations that were the best head/vape shops in Illinois go down the drain because the owner won’t work with his employees that have been there for several years(some over 5-6 years). Goodbye uncle Stu’s it was an amazing journey while it lasted!! Would leave 0 stars if I could but google...
