So I just purchased a brand new gaming laptop that I spent months saving up to get. I also bought some RAM and a SSD drive off amazon to put into the laptop as upgrades. At first I thought about installing the upgrades myself so I watched a couple tutorials on how to properly open the laptop and install everything. It would be my first attempt at doing this and I didn't want to mess anything up. So I looked up some local computer stores and checked to see how much it would cost. The first place I called was The Right Click and a friendly guy picked up and told me to stop by whenever and they'd install everything for $25. I figured having a professional install the upgrades would give me peace of mind and be the easiest choice. Boy was I wrong... I walked into The Right Click and was greeted by some kid who had piercings and gauges. I told him what I needed done and he said sure. He took my laptop and plopped it onto the counter and not on a mat or anything. He then starts rapidly taking screws out of the laptop and carelessly tosses them to the side. I asked him, " Are you keeping track of the screw sizes?" He looks at me like I just asked him the dumbest question. He says "Bud I do this for a living I think I know what I am doing." From watching the tutorial videos I knew that it was important to keep track of the screw sizes because if you don't, you can cause damage to the laptop. And guess what, that's exactly what happened. After quickly installing everything, he goes to screw everything back in, lo and behold he starts struggling to get the screws back in. Long story short this guy screwed holes into the face plate of the laptop I worked my butt off to get. Be careful of who you trust guys, its almost impossible to find good service these days. What I learned from this experience is always do things yourself because in the end, your the only one...
Read moreThe Right Click recently fixed an inoperable fan on my laptop. The company technician determined something was impeding my fan from the interior, so the item was removed from the fan and now it is working fine. The company could have easily told me they replaced the fan and then charge me a fee for the service and the fan, but they did not. The repair was completed and the laptop is now working as good as ever. Right Click is my go to place for any software or hardware issues. They are honest and experts in the computer repair business. If you want your computer or laptop repairs done Right at a reasonable fee, then I would go to the Right Click for any hardware or...
Read moreHoly Moly - I just got off the phone with Jason and I am absolutely floored by his helpfulness, professionalism, honesty, integrity, the list goes on. Based on his expertise and feedback, it turns out that I will be better off purchasing a new computer (which they don't sell) rather than using their upgrade services.
HOWEVER, based on the absolutely wonderful experience on the phone, I will absolutely be using them to clear the manufacturer's bloatware and transfer my critical data vs. going it alone, which I have done in the past. I could do it myself, but I'd rather support these folks.
Call them. Use them. Support this local...
