I own a 50 year old Sony stereo/receiver. It finally died, and I went into panic mode - what do I do now! It was a fantastic piece of stereo equipment. A quick Google search later, I found Jeff of CE Services and after a short phone call I became comfortable enough to pay him a visit. Once I saw the type of equipment he works on and the knowledge he express regarding my particular situation, I was happy to have him take a look. Expressed I would normally do my repair myself but can't due to having toddlers and that I already confirmed the work that needs done.. the only concern being I have toddlers that get in to everything he got very defensive and said if I'm price shopping him he won't get into that.. finally he quickly quoted a price which I won't mention to protect his fear of price shopping...we ended the call... the price was not unreasonable.. but the attitude was.. Read moreHad a 1970s pioneer silverware ampilifer worked on by them, but when I got it home, there were deep gouges on the silver faceplate, below the tone knobs, as if the used a tool to pry them off againist the bare aluminum! Why would they put deep gouges, in a nice preserved 1970s silverware ampilifer? One of the knobs was close to the faceplate, and the next knob was far away from the faceplate, someone didn't know what they were doing, but there's no fixing grooves, in an vintage aluminum silver...
