Sitting in the store during peak hours enjoying a coffee allowed me to really see why this place is slower than 10 tons of molasses on a freezing December day. It isn't because of the employees as I saw and heard them valiantly trying to knock out orders at a feverish pace.
This store is simply too small. It cannot adequately handle the amount of customers streaming in and out. The Barristas have very limited space to maneuver in and around the counters. This prevents the store from adding more employees during peak hours. Because of #1, there is not enough equipment to support the deluge of online orders while at the same time handling foot traffic and the drive through line. The store is attacked on three different fronts by customers. Re-work. There were more than a few times that orders were wrong that I witnessed. Not that this is completely avoidable but it becomes a serious issue when it is compounded by #1 and #2. With the volume the store had during this time, every mistake adds additional time to everyone else's order and backlogs everything. I saw one person who ordered in store, waited for 20 minutes and then got the wrong drink. This promptly caused the barrista to have to stop everything to correct the mistake. This customers total time in store from order to leaving was 30 minutes.
Until they either stop online orders during peak hours or shut down the drive through, the only way to prevent this from occuring is to expand the work area and get more equipment to...
Read moreGreat 👍 😊 Drive thru was very busy, so I went inside & was almost instantly greeted. A few people waiting for their orders already. I went to the register, again cheerfully greeted. Here I was assisted with reloading my Starbucks card on my app with no hesitation. I rattled off the first 3 drinks but when coming to my personal choice I hit a snag, forgetting the stipulations of ordering a trenta. With ease & no distain, I was give an explanation once again. This whole transaction occurred in mere minutes, drive thru still humming. Many Barista's working together, helping each other & using verbal cues such "behind you" were all going on in the small preparation area, so previous people waiting were long gone. I got my cup carrier, took a seat for a few minutes & the drinks started to be called out one by one for me to load in the carrier, my wait was so short I took no notice to how short it actually was. Upon leaving, I paid special attention to the drive thru & yes it was still just as long as it was when I went in. This particular crew on this day were a well oiled machine. I failed to notice names, they were all so friendly...
Read moreOrdered a few drinks here the other day to try and make up for a disappointing experience at a restaurant we had just left only to be met with more failure. My brother and sister ordered one caramel frap with 1 pump of caramel, and one decaf caramel Frap. I ordered three brownies and a large hot vanilla latte. The latte and brownies came out fine but they brought the frape to the window and it was completely white, ie no coffee in it at all. My sister rejected it stating it wasn't right. It's supposed be a blended drink with ice, coffee, milk, caramel suace and sugar topped with whipped cream and more caramel. They went back and re-made it but it was still incorrect. With the line backing up behind us we decided to cut our losses. this was roughly 36 dollars with two out of three drinks improperly made. The decaf had absolutely no coffee in it, and the regular barely a hint if any at all. Furthermore, the re-made frap had a pink drink label on it, I'm thinking someone behind us lost their drink in...
