Ordered a grill two days ago from south Portland, Maine location. Was supposed to be delivered yesterday, wasnât, but was rescheduled. We spent $$$ on food and stayed home all day waiting on this grill. Specifically chose that the grill be dropped off in the driveway if for some reason they didnât make contact but we were home and waiting. There are cameras/doorbell in driveway, back door, front door and back porchâŠ..nothing. At 5:24pm, just about the same time one of us were at the back door letting our dogs in, we get an email saying that delivery was attempted and failed. Nobody had been here. Despite calling them right away, and being told the manager will call us right back, an hour later the manager had no idea what we were talking about and just said sorry, third party company does delivery and they close at 5. None of that is our problem, we didnât hire a third party company, and we werenât given a choice other than delivery thru the website. No attempt at providing an actual solution. We had called early this morning to ensure that the grill was on the delivery truck and we watched the tracking all day. At some point we were third in line for delivery and then suddenly became 8th. Then just told that we somehow didnât provide the driveway at the address provided where the grill was instructed to be delivered. Infuriating. And it was made clear by the associates we spoke to that they could not have cared less about solving the issue or retaining us as customers. Just a big shoulder shrug and âwe will email them tomorrow.â Totally inexcusable. We didnât hire whoever this third party company is, and Home Depot is open til 10pm so to be told that itâs after 5pm so âwe donât knowâ is not acceptable. Nobody attempted to call us, or ring the doorbell or anything. Pizza delivery guys figure out how to call when arriving with a $20 pizza but Home Depot with a $1500 grill canât figure out how to contact the customer. Currently have no idea if the order is still valid or what is being done because every attempt at contacting Home Depot we keep getting run around and shoulder shrug.    Read moreI will never buy an appliance from Home Depot again. I recently ordered a Whirlpool dishwasher from the store. I removed my old dishwasher myself and had the space all ready for the install. Home Depot said a plumber would be installing the new one at delivery. I asked if the machine could be hard wired and they said no, the machine was plug in only so I paid an electrician to install an outlet. I also had to pay extra for a cord. The delivery guys had no plumbing skills or tools so they were not capable of installing the machine and just left it. I had to find another handyman to install the machine. When he came to install the machine he showed me that the machine can easily be hard wired and the cord was not at all necessary. So I was out $250 for an electrician I didn't need and $20 for a cord I didn't need. Once he hooked it up, water came pouring out of the bottom of the machine from a plastic piece on the side that is broken. I had to pay him $140 for nothing. I also found a dent on the other side of the machine I had not noticed when it was delivered. So I paid full price for a broken, damaged machine and now - because the Home Depot installer couldn't install it - they told me it's past the 48 hr replacement or return window. They are sending a repair person in 2 weeks. In the meantime this broken useless dishwasher is in the middle of my kitchen. An expensive frustrating fiasco.    Read moreOrdered 41 bags of soil, it said it would be delivered the following dayâŠit wasnât. Gave them a couple days of leniency because it was 41 bags of soil. Almost a week had gone by and we hadnât heard anything, nothing delivered, no contact or rescheduling of any sort. So my wife and I called Home Depot to figure out what was going on. They said it was âstuck in the system, and that they would get it scheduled for a couple days later.â Well that time came and went without any contact and it still wasnât delivered. We had to make multiple calls and 2 visits in store to get this sorted out and nobody had any answers for us as to why this was happening. For an order that was supposed to be delivered next day, it took almost 3 weeks!
And thatâs not even the worst part! When the delivery driver came to my house, apparently he was untrained on how to drive his truck on a paved driveway, because he sat in one place and spun the steering wheel until he dug his front wheel into the pavement, causing a divot/pot hole! Not only did I pay for this product, but now I have to pay additional to fix my driveway after what they did!
